You know one thing I actually like a lot about Amphoreus is that it feels like it actually has stakes, up to this point when they "killed off" a character like Firefly you knew it was going to be a fake out death because why would they go through the trouble of designing a character model like that and not have her be someone you can play as and spend money on and stuff. Or even Tingyun before that, though it sure took a while for her to come back. But Amphoreus is crazy with how in the very same patch they release a new character they've been either killing them off or otherwise writing them out of the story because they gotta do that God Emperor of Mankind "I'm sitting on my golden toilet keeping the demons out and I can't move from here for the rest of my life" business. In some cases even a couple weeks before the character is available to pull. I find it cool from a story perspective but surprising for a gacha game, very few gacha games have stakes like this because they're scared of pissing off the players and so the story rarely goes in any interesting or unexpected directions. So who knows, it could be the case they'll just walk all of this back in a few months and Amphoreus ends with a happy ending and Trailblazer magically fixes everything and everyone comes back to life and is freed from their duties and so on and so forth. But right now it doesn't FEEL like they're building towards something like that at least so I personally think the story has been going in a very cool direction lately and hope we continue to see writing of this caliber in future story arcs.
