Dead end has them spiral down until they reach their breaking point, but how their story ends, is more or less one of them ultimately submitting.
Splat is Ashley taking some accountability and giving him the consideration of offering to die together, because she knows it means a lot to him.
She's finally made progress she began in Cliffhanger, but it was too little, too late.

Shots and Such is Andrew ultimately letting Ashley win, and submits to her desire to give them a chance, even though he knows it won't end well.
Deciding to embrace Ashley is something Andrew is on his path towards to currently in Cliffhanger.

It's basically either of them making the development they're doing in Cliffhanger together, but it's far too late to fix things.

Shots n' Such is a "No one wins" scenario, the game explicitly says so. Neither of them are really getting what they want, let alone what they need, they're just on a hedonic treadmill running from one temporary high to the next till they die. Splat isn't an Andrew win per se but it definitely is him taking control, but it's too late. In that ending, he's incapable of moving forward in life in a way he wants but he's also unwilling to persist as he is like with the Leyley wins ending, so he decides to take control of his own life in the only way he feels he can, by ending it. Ashley joins in because she hasn't learned to live without him in this route (idk if she will in any route, but we'll have to see) and she knows joining in the suicide would mean a lot to him, so in essence it's the ultimate role reversal. Andrew is the impulsive and self-destructive one who cannot be talked down from an action, while Ashley is reluctant and fearful of the consequences of what they're about to do, but can't bring herself to stop him nor to walk away.
