Could use some help with the story I'm writing.In it, a small town has a corrupt cop who's been working with a gang to sell fent, coke, whatever. The main heroine's brother (who got killed by the gang) has evidence that could put them away, so he tries to get her killed, first at a police station, then at a motel the police were using. The AI escalations, but I liked it so I kept it going. At this point, S.W.A.T is working to protect the girl and her mom, and they're in one of those big trucks that could possibly survive a missile blast. I don't know how to ratchet up the stakes anymore without giving the bad guys multiple rocket launchers which completely breaks the setting. What can I do besides write how they just get away?
