The hag support group, collecting all the mummy parts for Thrumbo, the iron throne, house of hope, Razimath's vault, the stone lord, the black mass, the heart of the gate, the sharrans, the bhaalists, and the baneites are all fun questlines in act 3.Raphael, watcher titan, blushing mermaid, ansur, Cazz, Mystic Carrion, Mother Superior, and of course our friends Gorty and orin are all fun boss fights in act 3. Act 3 is a menagerie of boss fights that you can do in any order you desire, and that's fun.So what's there in act 3 is good. Act 3 itself is good. The problem is that there are some things missing from act 3. The rest of the hag coven, Karlach's involvement in the steel watch, and the upper city with an explorable area are some of the main ones. But development time running out and some things needing to be left on the table doesn't suddenly mean "act 3 bad". Act 3 is actually a blast, we're just aware of some things that would have been even better.

That said, wearing gear that gives you arcane acquity will up the chance of command/hold person/hold monster landing, which in turn leads to automatic critical hits.
