Evasion seems like absolute shit. You need so much to actually evade anything now. Oh but you can use deflection now, right? No. Even if you get 100% of your evasion rating counts for deflection then you still need a massive amount of evasion rating to begin with before you can have a large amount of deflection chance.You need way way more evasion rating than is reasonable to have any actual damage reduction. While leveling your evasion rating, even with investment, will give you fuckall in terms of damage reduction.

I don't think handling poe2 releases like it's poe1 is a good thing.I know that in poe1 they release undertuned player power with overtuned league mechanic and then gradually they calibrate it and it ends up in a good spot after a few weeks.But this is not poe1, poe1 players have been trained like dogs for years upon years to put up with it to a point where they know it's coming and adjust accordingly.Why do this with poe2? The poe2 player base is much larger and at the same time they themselves said that they want poe2 to be different, so why give it the same treatment as poe1?I just don't get why they keep making the same mistakes. I will say though, the campaign experience is much better than 0.2. I don't if it was luck or whatever but I never felt like I wanted for damage and/or defenses.That being said, we're still using the exact same builds we've been using since 0.1. Get to level 4. Get the worm boss. Dodge for 5 minutes and run out of health potions. Get the boss to 50% and die. Repeat 5 times. Uninstall. I played a lot of POE1 and got pretty far almost every time. Dodging for 5 minutes to beat a starter boss is not fun. I refuse to study 50 hours per build to make something that actually works. They'll say "skill issue" or "follow a guide." Nah bro, i been gaming over 30 years. I want to make my own and have fun doing it. I know how to make builds and win. Difficulty curve is not fun. Gameplay is garbage.

There was a loot box for sale that preyed on gamblers to a maximum of $275. That box has already been retired and now there's an entirely new one that costs $280 to unlock everything. For folks looking to acquire the in-game points necessary to fall prey to this combination of FOMO and gambling, but sad to see that the supporter packs on Steam only provide about $280 worth of points to spend, worry not: go to Path of Exile 2's website and be delighted to see that you can actually get more than $800 worth of supporter packs at time of writing. There was even once a loot box that asked you to destroy the cosmetics you'd gambled for to make rarer ones, requiring you to gamble even more to get the old items back.

At this point souls like bosses are very derivative, they were unique a decade ago. Making boss design centered around Miyazaki's vision is misguided because even Miyazaki thinks his boss design has started to feel dated. This is an arpg too, I don't know any arpg fans that want dark souls 3 bosses in an arpg. Not because of difficulty (souls games aren't hard) but because in a game like Poe where we repeat leagues and characters over and over, it becomes incredibly monotone and dull. Mind numbingly boring and lacking any creative flare or novelty after the first few characters. Jonathan isn't bad at making games, he's bad at making games fun. Path of Exile 1 I am starting to believe was an accident. That accident Jonathan so badly wants to recreate without ever understanding why that accident was fun in the first place.
