Yeah, sure, you CAN make any dogshit skill work, but some skills just do 10x damage or have built in scaling because fuck you, so your options are to either play the GGG approved build for the current patch and blast everything with zero effort, or pick something suboptimal and grind t6 essences for 100 hours just so you can be half as effective.And it's so obvious that GGG does it on purpose, since they only need to worry about balancing 5-6 skills every patch.

Core build gimmick is working but man does the game not like Ancestral Warrior Totems right now. Even just 1 is a hit to performance, 8 in the middle of an abyss just fucking demolishes it. There are also just a ton of bugs with AWT and Warbringer right now which at least means the build can only get better.

movement speed shouldn't exist as a metric you can increase.every character should just have a good movement speed to begin with, and attacks themselves have massive fluctuations of movement speed within the skills. No one ever complains about lack of increasing movement speed etc in a souls game, because the content is paced correclty. You don't have giant empty padded copy pasta maps in souls games, elden ring you have open plain spaces but they give you a fuckin horse as well as unlimited sprint stamina as well as warp points etc.Having movement speed being not only a dex thing, but dex also being the side of the tree with all the projectile hitscan shit is a wombo combo for excellence, it vastly outperforms everything because it not only has the speed, it has the attacking safely from a distance thing. >>537452158Atlas needs to be a mode independant of the campaign and available from the start, but designed in a way where it is gated and unlocks portions/elements as you progress campaign. You also cannot gain XP in the atlas until you beat the campaign. This way you don't overlevel in the atlas and then jump back to act1 and stampede it at a broken level.The point is to have procedural, player curated fun available immediately. Make the maps require ingredients that you unlock as you progress the campaign, and running maps in act1 is just like a fun thing you do to farm for some currency or items that are suitable for that level.The concept of "endgame" is whats killing this game series. That you need to complete all the campaign content to start engaging with your own content, this is abhorrent.

I think a lot of my problems with this game would be resolved with better loot. I shouldn’t be going into act 4 with stuff from act 1, that’s just retarded and removes one of the best elements of ARPGs.
I haven't played D4 since season 2 and I've hated that game more than anyone else but I'm starting to think it's the superior ARPG.Something is very wrong with PoE 2. There's dry rot in the foundation and black mold everywhere.
