Mode Abyss has the same problem that ramp dragon had where it wasn't actually building towards anything. You build up and hit 10 but your payoff isn't winning you the game it's just giving your cards more value while other decks are working towards winning the game.

Midrange sword is creeping up to ladder again and I'm having a hard time with it using egg portal.
