I've been getting reacquainted with FU horn again because it's been ages. It really is like rise horn in more ways than one. You know it's funny to see just how many songs were only 2 notes back then because that was such a sore spot for some people with rise horn. You hear that and you might think FU horn is less complex than nintendo era horn but you'd be wrong actually. It's got little tricks to get notes up faster just like third gen horn but the song system is also more complex. It was actually simplified in third gen. Being able to combine multiple songs into one longer song is such an interesting mechanic and rise horn technically brought this back if we're counting mag trio but ultimately it's not as in depth as second gen. The thing that gets me is despite all the complexity of second gen horn, it ultimately boils down to a superpound simulator exactly like third gen horn at the end of the day. Rise was actually the first time hunting horn got an actual moveset which in retrospect is probably why people bitched because you finally had to learn which moves to use when instead of grug pounding everything. Anyway I'm really curious to see what they do with horn going forward. I like grug horn and I like rise horn so either way I'm sure I'll be happy. I just like playing horn

Basically with a super godroll charm AB3, Agi1, W1-1-1 you get better use out of CB3/Blud3 instead of going CB5. You can't fit Flayer into the super godroll charm sets though.Without the super godroll charms, Blud3 instead of CB3 only gets 11.79 (0.26%) more damage on the full combo in green but your sharpness management gets a lot easier once you fall into green. You do shit damage with blue when using Blud3 whether you have super godroll charm or not.In retrospect, the (sometimes) higher damage is not worth losing Flayer for 9*s

I use the Zoh Shia LBG for my elemental and once those run out, I switch to Seregios LBG to take advantage of bladescale and evading reload. Very rarely do I craft extra elemental. I'd much rather go to a camp after a hunt to reload ammo than on the spot.

is postgame iceborne worth playing?i'm a more casual player (don't care about super optimized gear for hunts. i grind for new weapons and armor i think look cool but that's about the extent of it). around the end of iceborne, 120 hours in or something, i was starting to get burnt out, which is only natural i guess. sort of sped through the final few missions and got annoyed with shara ishvalda because of how much health it had and how dull the fight was. but i "finished" the game and felt more or less satisfied. then i remembered there's still the postgame with the guiding lands and the few new fights. my question is: is it worth it? i've heard the guiding lands is extremely grindy and all the new monsters have insane health pools. i want to fight the new monsters but i just don't know if i feel like going through all of that just to experience them
