I love wizard so much. Every time I play, I have to force myself to not just play wizard again. I love the huge spell list to choose from, I love the flavor that you work hard for you power instead of being a nepobaby sorc, I love scribing scrolls and collecting the complete spellbook, and I especially love that the unique scrolls that are one of a kind that you get to scribe. I love that you have damage, support, utility, and cc. I love getting like a 22 spell save dc and watching everyone even bosses slip and slide on dc22 ice surfaces. Plus wizard has an absolute ton of subclasses. Not all of them are good or worth playing, but it's just enough to add variety to different playthroughs even if you want to stick to that class. Everything about it just such a fun class, it's nice having a clear favorite.That all said, cleric with a spellcasting statline is pretty much just a wizard with heavy armor, which is super cool too, so that's an easy second favorite. How do people manage to do multiple playthroughs of this game? The combat to me isn't very interesting, seems more like a "means to an end" and even though I haven't played since launch I basically remember the entire game so whenever I try to start a new run I get bored of dialogue by the time I reach the grove. Even having completely new party members and trying new classes/subclasses I just feel so bored. I keep find myself alt tabbing to find something to watch or getting distracted and walking away from my computer. There isn't much buildo autism in 5e and this isn't a "gameplay" game like an action rpg so I just find myself mind numbingly going through character dialogues to progress and quit after 20-30 minutes every time.

I just played the game and roleplayed my charismatic good guy character. I did manage to find all the explorable areas in the game as well. But roleplaying is what you yourself imagine and envision, it's heavily limited by virtue of being a video game and having a set path that you have to go down. No matter what options you choose in Act 1, you will go to the same Act 2, and you will go to the same Act 3 and the variations are not large enough to constitute an entire second playthrough for "roleplay" alone. The only "roleplay" you can do in BG3 is "good, bad, or gimped retard that makes a dumbass build using salami weapons" because it's a video game. So you pick a class at char creation then multi-class into something else at every level-up.
