Pity rewards don't help anyone. Encouraging devs to continue developing bad games is cruel. You are evil.

>Wagie RunStraight to menu, options are meager.Resolution drop down has a long list of repeating resolutions. Background music is pretty somber but such is the wagie life.Only one level available.Overall, I can't say much more about this game that hasn't already been said in the itch.io comments. Since this is a prototype there isn't much point in critiquing. Some ideas to develop however is that the wagie theme isn't really appealing or engaging unless you make it about mocking the wagie life with a humorous tone. You're probably thinking about just doing a bunch of city levels going by your stage select but consider looking at other games in the genre like Temple Run or Muscle March on the Wii for how they make it fun. For the first level it may not apply but later on, there needs to be more pressure, there should be forced object avoidance and forked paths to take, maybe even ones that take you in totally different biomes (like a jungle) to up the craziness and then back into an office. This would obviously require a lot of work from a solodev and I don't know if you want to turn this into a commercial game or not, so it's best to find a find a way to shorten the whole thing, take shortcuts, make it short and sweet, maybe only two or three stages at max but make them really good and engaging. Anyway, keep at it, it's in a good place already and very playable!

The story in my game is bad.The graphics are ugly. The voice acting is AI generated. But at leat the gameplay is fun.
>>538548590>funis it tho..?
Made the underlying logic for resource gathering- and accumulation. Next on the list will be to create goal oriented building routines for the AI, based on the stockpiled resources. Gonna keep it simple to begin with (build x huts for pop growth, then build a barracks for melee units).
>>538542527>"fan art">from a fellow apiring gamedev>sharing space with 60 other gamesas an actual gamedev with actual fans, I don't really appreciate fan art. I say I do because I'd look like an asshole otherwise, but whenever I get fan art I just think I should have priced my game higher.
>>538548847Yeah. I gave it to some randoms to try and they genert liked it.
>>538547950Thank you m8. I will keep your feedbacks in mind.>You're probably thinking about just doing a bunch of city levels>mocking the wagie lifeFun fact tho, the initial plan was to make the theme a bit cyberpunk-y. Like not full on cyberpunk, but rather an age where our current tech is starting to develop into a dystopian one. It leans to a more dark depressing /biz/ humor, that mocks the society, rather than plainly mocking the wagie himself (because i am a /biz/fag).But you know... im just a programmer, and not an artist. My resource on that is still limited. So all of that ideas are still on hold>Forked path>Jungles, totally different biomesI'll keep that in mind, m8. Thanks.>it's in a good place already and very playable!Again man, that means a lot. Thank you!
>>538549443Cheers, btw I was thinking about OutRun which is a similar concept except with Ferraris. During the run you could have missions to collect a certain amount of coke, or avoid objects for 1 min, do certain tasks to please your boss/wife etc. Lots of possibilities (but hard to to implement as a solo of course).

>>538546686>Caving in to anti AI faggots>Get no saleslmao absolute skill issue. The real secret is not getting found out that you are using generative AI. If it does happen that people find out, just ignore the cunts, they won't buy your game anyway. Also, the hate generates more buzz for your shit, depending on how you massage it. Corpos will definitely use the fuck out of Gen AI and get away with it. Don't get psyop'ed.

I tried to look up some stuff about godot decompilation and preventing it and theres an ocean of reddit posts about it and ALMOST EVERY REPLY to these posts keeps parroting the "everything can be decompiled! Your code is never ever ever safe ever and its pointless to even try to prevent people from looking at it! Its impossible to prevent reverse engineering!" Even if this is true i feel like the message that you shouldnt even try to ecrypt your game is dubious and dangerous. Seriously this is the stuff that gets my conspiracy mind going crazy. Why dont they want you and me to even try to encrypt our games? Why are they so desperate to normalize not even making an attempt at security?

I have an entire fleshed out light novel idea but I kinda want to make it a visual novel instead. Honestly it just seems easier to "publish" then having to pray some publisher/distributer picks it up.Is there any reason to not use renpy? And the biggest question is, should I even make it a visual novel? I have ideas for what certain routes could be, but I realize that the entire story for the most part is one big cohesive story and I'm not too sure if it makes sense breaking it up. Although I do have some ideas where the central story doesn't change much but various characters have different little endings. Or is this question a bit better for another board lol.
This is how I imagine you guys looking at me while I play your all's demo

It's insane this does not work by default, you don't actually need to fiddle with some retarded .vscode/launch.json file or whatever, I remember the solution was simple but I cannot find or remember it anymore.
