You can isolate powerful characters with Bebop, Paradox, Calico, you can disable the entire enemy team with Dynamo or Paige, you can split them apart with Kelvin or blow them up with a well-placed Lash combo. All it takes is to capitalize on the enemy team's mistake with a huge ult or a good pickoff and you can turn things around almost every time. Add utility items to the mix that you can use to severely hinder important enemies and you can comeback very easily in this game. The reactions to my post seem to me like you guys just have bad mental, refuse to properly strategize or itemize against enemy threats or a mix of both.

A surprise Dynamo ult from a flank hitting 3 people will turn a teamfight around, but it's hard to execute. And on top of that the enemy team WILL make mistakes, it's impossible not to. Even in eternus lobbies people make mistakes, so they sure as hell do in lower levels. Use the enemy team's mistakes and outplay them and you can come back from all but the absolute shittiest starts.

That's 10-12 players of "equal" skill level that have to be matched together at the same time. When you get to really high ranks this can make matchmaking take FOREVER. In Deadlocks case the game is still pretty small so asking 12 out of like what, 500? MAYBE 1000 really high skilled players to be online and in the same region to queue up at the same time isn't that easy.In fighting games you literally just need one other person to be online and generally the ranks can have a bit more disparity because the ranking system can account for that by giving you more/less points depending on if you won/loss to someone of higher or lower skill. Abrams ult into charge and then beating the shit out of them. Haze existing at all. Lash existing at all. Bebop. Majestic Leap. Veil Walker/Shadow Weave. Meanwhile the only real answer in TF2 to Sniper was Scout. Spy and MAYBE Soldier/Demo if the map was open enough. But usually just Scout and Spy. That and Sniper in TF2 just one-shots everybody-- obviously that wouldn't be the case here. You make said Sniper a low mobility hero that has to choose between fucking off entirely from the fight upon being caught unawares or simply die along with a low base HP pool and it's perfectly balanced. Add on a max bullet range like Drifter (at like ~75 meters) and you also limit their sightline options too but still make them able to meaningfully impact a longer range than any other hero in the game by having their minimum damage be like 50% of their max damage instead of tickling people for 1-2 damage.

Blood Tribute is a very underrated item for Shiv. Shivs deferred damage works on it and if you combine it with radiant regen the active for bloodletting not only clears some of the deferred damage but will immediately give you a heal + move speed boost. It's basically free. I also think 50% debuff resist is EXTREMELY underrated. ANY debuff has it's time cut in half. Any. You can even go the extra mile and pick up debuff remover and have a way to get rid of any immediately bad debuffs while adding to your overall resist. I think combining this with frenzy can make him a fucking monster but not sure about the rest of the build.
