I understand what blizzard is trying to do with the cease and desist/suing twow. 1. They win the suit, or get what they want (i..e turtle wow and in result other servers submit to their demands every time a cease and desist shows up or they turn over all their content to them).2. They scare the playerbase of the servers into thinking that progressing on the server is pointless because they will be taken down soon (servers die and blizzard has no competition for their inevitable classic+ content).It's fine and dandy that private servers resist the basically legally baseless accusations blizzard makes but dutch, especially dutch here since obviously he has some resources to resist blizzards army of lawyers, really needs to contribute some more resources/manpower to do some substantial bugfix patches because you're going to drive away the dwindling playerbase by convincing them it's impermanent and he's going to end up with a dead community regardless. It is less metagamey, which people like and it's annoying when you have only a few hours to play a day and you just get unfairly smeared into the dirt for your entire play session because you are always outnumbered by the opposite faction and weren't ahead of the curve on leveling. One faction starts leaving, other faction gets bored and quits. This is why Ashes of Creation is going to fail as well, even though I was hype for that (although the past few years have made it feel like a scam that will never launch)

Well the roadmap was MC/Ony in late september/october. This was before server launch. Magic was also saying things like class fixes first as the first major patch. Things like making Boomkin viable. We are now over a month in with the team completely gone and radio silence for 4 days straight. Kezan has been losing about a thousand a day. Last night during American chad hours it was under 1.8k.What's the point of keeping this server up anymore? MC/Ony won't likely be until late december at the earliest. Tanks practically don't even exist right now in certain level ranges.

Man, I fucking know this server is broken. There are lots of bugs, classes don't work properly, and who knows what kind of bugs people have been abusing so far. But the vision of the server is REALLY GOOD. Using TBC talents in Vanilla is 10000% better than the abomination that Turtle has. There are so many improvements just from using the 3.3.5 client itself.I'm giving Epoch time to fix itself. Hopefully, it can grow to be the best private server of all time.

I joined a guild while leveling, and they started doing raids while I was around level 40-50. I joined them afterwards and progressed with them for a while, which was quite fun. Most of them were either discovering vanilla or it was their first WoW experience. I tried Epoch when it opened, but the kind of people playing on fresh servers are really not the kind of people I want to play with. I had hoped to have a similar experience as I had on Turtle, but on a better server.

The boss themselves are the same but on classic you have world buff while on turtle you have better classes and more buffs (paladin + shaman).
