Did they change the Bonus Attack shot on Hand Crossbows a patch or two ago? I keep reading in older posts how useful is to equip two in the Ranged slot, as you can use your Bonus Attack to fire them. Yeah, after you Dashed or Disanged and only once per Short Rest! At least the way things are now. How does that worth it? The way some people selling it I can't help but think it was a "free" Bonus Action attack in the past with little or no restrictions.

>>539037629The issue is that there isn't much XP to be had in optional content over the entire game, frankly.You get a ton of rep by just walking / exploring, so the level difference between someone doing all the optional content and someone just going for main quest stuff is neglible.So either they disregard that and the final stage of the game is still at like level 12, whereas you are 14-16, meaning you completely stomp it or they effectively make the optional content not optional because you need the xp.I think that's kinda the thing about Act 3, past the Iron Throne / Foundry stuff, there is hardly anything that dictates the "correct" order, which seems reasonable design in a city where you can walk freely around.Good thing is, there is no correct order to these things, meaning players can freely explore.Bad thing is, there is no correct order and thus there is no proper structure how to do things "correctly".

This game is somehow even better than I expected, but I have to ask, is it normal for hit rates to be absolutely abysmal or am I doing something wrong? Shadowheart and Lae'zel have like 40-60% chance to hit with anything and even when they land their hits they don't often knockdown/daze/taunt/whatever their target. Though, being able to push strong enemies down pits is amazing, fuck that red goblin nigga from the goblin camp and fuck Ethel, down the chasm you go you annoying hag, I almost can't believe the game allows you to do that.Btw what are some tips for playing an Assassin? Stealth is a bit strange and slightly buggy sometimes.

Sticking to dark areas (press Shift to see what the area the cursor points at qualifies!), extinguishing light sources if possible and trying to stay out of vision cones is important. Keep these in mind and you should be doing well. By far the best race for a character who's bread and butter is stealth is Duergar. Invisibility at will alone is a huge plus. (The only restriction is one use per combat to prevent players from always jumping back into it but that's it.) If the talking class, the lockpicking class, the heal class, the lore skill class, and the buffer class sucked, then most people wouldn't play it. Everyone wants to nuke the whole room as a sorc/wizard, or smite for 100 damage in a single round as paladin, those roles are covered, so you need people playing the talking/lockpicking/lore skill/etc classes. How do you do that? Make them mechanically strong while also doing all those things. It's the same reason Cleric is arguably the overall number 1 class.

Failing checks is part of the game and sometimes it leads to even more interesting outcomes than just out-charming everybody. Look at the situation like this: all those checks are for your future CHA character who will never experience what's the outcome of not passing them.
