Silver has it so bad it's hilarious. At least with Sonic's mischaracterization they're all vaguely based on the same general idea. If you put SatAM Sonic in sa2 or IDW Sonic in prime you wouldn't see much crazy difference. It's obviously ooc but close enough that normies can't even tell.With Silver they just don't care. It's a radically different person from the comics to the games.

This is good for both Amy's character and the franchise as a whole. And, of course, being tied to one of the core characters in the series is especially good for Cream.

I like 06 writing and think more Sonic titles should be more like it in terms of high stakes threats, multiple playable characters, time travel, and continuing the character development previous games had. What Amy & Cream need is a story that actually delves into their actual INTENDED dynamic and properly fleshes it out, gives context to why they are "Team Jubilee", and properly showcases their intended dynamic without flanderizing either character's personality. Because it seems like a widespread opinion is thinking that Cream is very cute and sweet at best, but Amy is "crazy", "psychotic", and viewing any relationship between the two characters as inherently toxic, abusive, and not all comparable to Sonic & Tails. That is obviously not true in the slightest, Sonic Team did not intend any of that to be conveyed at all, yet it's the impression some people got due to the writing not being up to par. I believe Sonic Heroes is the best depiction of Amy and Cream's dynamic, but even then, Sonic Heroes fails to provide any in-game context behind how Team Rose formed. It's implied, and written in the manual, that they banded together due to their shared desire to find their missing friends. But we don't SEE This. The story just opens up with them already together on their mission. It's not like Team Sonic or Team Dark where we SEE how and why the team came together, it just presents Team Rose like Team Chaotix: a pre-existing team with a pre-existing relationship established off-screen with history we don't see. Yet unlike Team Chaotix, this is at Team Rose's expense. Sonic Team's decision to include Cream the Rabbit through retroactive pre-debut appearances was at the expense of her original intended role. Cream debuts in Advance 2 as the first character unlocked in level 1, while Amy is a secret character because Heroes is their first canon meeting. And then X just having Cream be part of the cast from the start just adds to this, and Battle had questionable choices for Amy in general just making it worse. Sonic Team fumbled Cream's debut, but Amy is the one who suffered for it.

Big is looking for his friend "Froggy" and Cream is looking for Chocola, the twin of Cheese the Chao, who is always with her.>Thus, the three members who came together because of one photo formed a team and began to search for their missing friends.So, according to the JP Sonic Heroes manual, THIS is the foundation for Team Rose, and by extension, the foundation for Amy & Cream's own friendship. I'd say it's good enough, I guess. Especially since it's basically the same as both Amy's SA1 with protecting Birdie and helping reunite its family, and Cream's intro in Sonic Advance 2 where her motive is to find/rescue her mother. If you blended the two stories together, you'd get the premise of Team Rose in Sonic Heroes. Amy helping someone reunite with their missing loved ones, while she herself is strongly driven by her own love for Sonic. The problem is WE DIDN'T SEE THIS MEETING HAPPEN ON SCREEN. WHY IS THIS JUST SHOVED INTO THE MANUAL!?!?!
