The speed tier list that anon mentioned doesn't really matter, on foot, the fastest are Sonic, Shadow and Blaze all tied for first, then there's a huge powergap between everyone else that you can just generalize them all as having less super speed while still having enough to break the sound barrier, it's like how everyone has super strength, just varying degrees of it.Getting specific is stupid because that never comes into play, all you need to understand the powergap is to watch that part of Heroes' opening where Sonic grabs onto Tails and Knuckles so he doesn't leave them behind to be crushed when he actually starts running.

Frontiers is a mostly 2D game. Every boost game is 2D. Sections which are "3D" are actually just 2D but in the horizontal plane instead of the vertical plane. Like quickstepping sections isn't really 3D it's more like top-down 2D. Yes there's a height because you can jump but nobody calls top-down Zelda 3D. The only 3D Sonic games are the adventure formula, and even then the speed sections are mostly rollercoaster level-design anyways. Unfortunately the best 3D levels are the SA2 treasure hunting stages.

If the Adventure games didn't exist you wouldn't be here now and the Sonic franchise would be forgotten. Sonic 3D Blast is mostly hated, and is mainly carried by people being nostalgic for its music (because it sounds like Sonic Adventure and some of it was reused there). I want to clarify that "different direction" doesn't mean "we won't use AI". It's vague so that you can THINK it means that if you want, but what they really mean is "we will use AI in ways no one else will because we are unique and special". Just like when they made phone games, and tried to claim their phone games were somehow different from everyone else's because their main goal with them was to sell more consoles. Somehow. No, the reality is that they just made phone games, and then came up with some nonsense to seem unique. They're doing the same with AI, their use of AI is "unique" because there's the "humans using AI, not just the AI". It's nonsense and Nintendofags are eating it up as "proof" that Nintendo won't use AI.
