Thanks for reminding me that I still haven't gotten around to trying most of the dd64 demos.

So far I've tried:
Solitaire Battle - bounced off, I'm too dumb to figure out the rules
GlitchPick - bounced off, I'm too old and dumb to figure out the rules so quickly under time pressure
Jargon - bounced off, I'm too dumb for word games and frankly I bounced off Balatro so I'm completely the wrong sort of person to comment on these kinds of games, but kudos to the dev for making a web build
Aviators and Aliens - bounced off, there doesn't seem to be much to see or do yet
Looping Trolley Problem - played one full round and got bored because there doesn't seem to be that much to do
Slide Game - obsessively played and replayed the entire DD weekend

Open to recommendations and requests, but as can be seen I'm a weirdo with weird tastes so my feedback is of limited value. I should probably invest in setting up a stream at some point so I could at least provide value in the form of showing how a dumb monkey might fail to understand obvious things, but I don't have the kind of time or money for that.

Though, I think there's one thing that could be better. The upgrade effects are unclear. The shots where you pick them up near the booba and upgrade the pistol are edited very good, but the symbols don't give me much idea what exactly is being upgraded.

I never got to playing your game during DD, so it's sort of a first impression for me and
I think I'd have a better idea what the game is about if there was a tooltip or text pop up something visible in the trailer explicitly spelling out how exactly I can upgrade my character in this game.

I think making the text move or wiggle might be cool, also making the letter pieces in your hand slightly move around. I use Vroid desktop to quickly generate me some model with the look I want.

Then I import into blender, and render front and side ortho references.
Then I downscale on aseprite to 64x64 sprite.
Then I use it to draw in my own style the front and side views with the correct proportions in pixel art.
Export as 500% and then use them to make a low poly model using my own style of low poly.

The secret is to use low res pixel art to model instead of HD art.

I set up my worklow to make pixel art, which takes around 4 hours of work.
Then I render in diferent views, and then paint over using the pixel art texture as guidelines.

I use A/x Way of the Assassin as my main that I do most of my playing on. It's pretty fun to destroy trash mobs on normal mode with, but some of the harder stuff can be tricky unless you use meta hero builds. I've also had some fun playing as an ele on my last playthrough of Prophecies, especially using air and water magic since those skills kind of suck and aren't used as often.

I was talking to my brother a few days ago about Warcraft and how when you clicked on the Icon they said stuff, and I thought, that would be a fun little thing for my game too, so I implemented it. It'll be the same voice lines for all characters of that species though instead of each character from that species having their own lines. The process of recording myself, using a synthesizer, then modifying it in audacity for dozens and dozens of characters is a bit too much work for me to do and focus on.

Not sure about awards. Feels like it just adds unnecessary conflict. People always ask "who died and made you the arbiter of what's good or not?" Maybe a vote would work, but then you have to put effort into making it harder to game the system.
