Cleared the difficult content back in the first few years of the game and was putting up some of the best healing numbers at the time, excellent pvp win rate, but I haven't played in like 7 years or so. I kind of have the itch to play again but I don't like the direction retail has gone in with the story. But the newest stuff looks ok with the crazy lady bad guy. I'm deciding between trying out a private server or subscribing again after many years. Are private servers actually good? I know I'm asking in the thread for fans of something whether it's good but you know what I mean. Like does it run smooth, are there outages, are there wipes, are they making weird changes, do you lose it all one day, does it suit someone who used to be good but hasn't touched the game in a long time, class balance, etc.I also don't mind spending some money to support the game if it's actually good.

Just hit 50 on my hardcore warrior. Went full down the prot tree to conc blow picking up all the key talents including toughness (no defense talent because google said it does jack shit for leveling) and 10 points in fury for cruelty and uwSo far so good. Damage with shield slam is really nice and i feel very tanky. It was rough for the first 20 levels (turtle have still not remedied the warrior early game when something like victory rush would alleviate it substantially). I've tanked all the dungeons i have run and have even been complimented on my tanking. A priest said i was the tankiest tank he'd ever run with lol. Feels good manGonna go down fury till 60 and then see what happens when i start running the endgame dungeons. Very kino class on turtle so far
