D4 is the far superior game for gamer dads. All the skills feel pretty great to play from the second you unlock them. Skills in PoE 2 generally feel like absolute dogshit to play until mid endgame when you have 20+ hours in. You can tailor the leveling experience to your liking in D4 by setting it to "penitent" difficulty if you want it to feel difficult (though nowadays with seasonal power creep and class creep shit like spiritborn is still wiping screens in penitent.) The problem with D4 is that there is no real endgame or loot chase at all. Every build can do pit 100 now which according to the scaling table I'm seeing is 1700x (seventeen hundred times) the monster HP of the hardest open world difficulty. Every build in the game can do this. Why play more than 10 hours per season?
