The biggest issue the deck has is that without Refrain it loses consistency and a one card starter for pure. You would probably have to play a high concentration of monsters and ways to fuse to get anywhere with the deck, but if you stick Bacha onto the board you're almost certainly going ham.

Pot of Greed is completely generic and puts way more emphasis on opening Droll.

>>540433682The thing is that I don't necessarily think the animators themselves are bad at all on average, maybe there's even more skilled ones now. But the direction of the things they're hired to draw by the most influential people involved (directors, character designers, art directors) can uglify a show more than it should've been, compared to the older ways of thinking about good-looking efficiency of flat colors without a ton of gradients and post processing slapped over everything. The 'trick' was just having a good color designer with good taste to make a show look better. A few anime that come out still look good now and then, but DM's style is so 'archaic' by now good luck finding even one fully staffed team who will take the time to understand it well. The best compromise if they ever make new characters again is seeing the reality of what animators are most used to drawing these days, but push for something mildly sharper than that. Like being kind of shameless in ripping from some stylish older character designs that aged well and aren't too hard to draw

A casual deck I was running ended up being like 170 points because the idea of throwing cards in the graveyard is too spicy for Konami, and another deck that I was using to scare people at locals ended up being only like 30 points, so I took the opportunity to shove some handtraps in and readjust ratios.

No underworld goddess no borrelsword/accesscode means you're either relying entirely on non-engine or maybe a generic xyz option and even those are kinda fucked against stronger tower set ups like Lunalight, Super Quants, or even Raidraptor.All these decks have way more interesting gameplans in absence of towers so it'd be a net positive.
