How fucked is hitman WOA across different headsets? I've heard its good on index. On quest 2 hands feel slightly misplaced and I can see garbage on the edge of my vision. I've heard quest 3 is fucked. The game is really blurry for everyone. I'm actually hoping the issues are bad enough to force them to patch it in 2 weeks instead of 4-6 months

Now with tracking each finger rotation, I can test multiple grabbed object per hand. There are 3 grap points, bottom, top, and touchpad. Its a little tricky remembering what object I grabbed with what part of the hand. but it does feel pretty good. I also made throwing work but forgot to show that off. Next ill figure out how to do smaller object interactions with swipes on the touchpad. I have to restrain my self from putting to much work into this. I tend to scope creep my stuff and this is only useful to like 20% of vrc users. Its kinda ashame that no one else has tried this and too bad that questies don't even have inputs for these.

I have found it does vary by time of year and season though there are definitely times where I'm eating well on the new tab and when it's a bit more wasteland of avatar worlds and homeworlds. That said I really do not end up filtering even close to 1:100 more like just clicking on stuff that looks vaguely interesting and that's usually adequate like half the time. I don't think Udon has the ability to read "thumb rest" either. So i'd have to read the finger rotations again, but I'd have to account for the gestures or some bs. Doesn't sound like fun. Mulitgrab is mostly an interesting gimmick. My perfect controller in terms of inputs would be something like a quest pro with another grip, knuckles strap, and a working touchpad.

Another day, another promising VR gamedev stuck in the udon trap.I'm experimenting with smoother card manipulation for MTG. Rather than vrchat's regular pickups, I'm using a small sphere collider roughly where the index trigger is, and using the trigger to grab/release the cards when they intersect the sphere. IMO this feels closer to holding real cards with thumb/index finger, and feels more precise overall. Tabletop Simulator's VR mode does this, and despite its other VR UI crimes I think that part is a good idea. I'll also add a big card preview while you're hovering a card, so you don't have to squint as much.Also, while the sphere is colliding with a card (without grip), you can tap the joystick up/down to tap a card 90 degrees, without having to pick it up and rotate your whole wrist. This is jank since to turn off the regular move/rotation on the joysticks, you have to immobilize the player temporarily (and immobilize still allows turning, so no X axis). It does feel pretty good when it works though, like flicking real cards.Finally I have a playmat where if you drop a card near it, cards snap to its surface at a cardinal angle. With the lerp, it also feels pretty physically nice, even without real physics. Since you can read the analog value of the trigger press, I want to also add a thing where if you lightly press the trigger you can slide cards around on the surface without picking them up. I think I might be able to replace the tap gesture jank with like a quick flick of the trigger as well.Drawing from the deck with a trigger feels pretty good, and it leaves the grip free to pick up the entire deck (which I want to use to do the "shake to shuffle" gesture, plus flipping over the deck to pop up a tutor/search UI). Putting cards into your hand/facing you from the deck is awkward though. IRL you usually do a card flip within your hand, which I'm not sure how best to do in VR yet.

Makes it nice and comfy to edit, because you can select by joined vertices. Usually it's one big "main" hair blob around head, more often than not this blob extends into biggest side hair strands, and then the rest is separate sets of vertices. I imagine it'd be a problem to weight paint two strands that should behave as one, but are two different groups of vertices.

Hide your coin purse. I was able to get swiping with the touch pad mostly working. Feels slow but does work. You can grab multiple small objects and put them in your hand by swiping down when grabbing with the touchpad, and by swiping up, it goes back into your touchpad grip. Left and right swipe changes which one is on top by +1 or -1.
