>>540865968Because Fleshmobs can spawn up to 4 in a single patrol, something that almost never happens with chargers these days outside of mega nest breaches. Chargers are also one or two shot with most AT support weapons. Reminder that the problem with fleshmobs was never that they were difficult to kill (They have zero armor and explosive primaries have been meta long before their introduction and continue to be, obviously you can 'just shoot them'). It was that they're too tedious to shoot since they have no feedback when shot, no bleedout states, and though they have 6000 nominally, their actual HP when using most weapons is going to be quite a lot more than that due to universal 25% durability. Couple their health and frequency of spawns, they're incredibly unfun to fight. You can always say "Oh they're easy to kill just bring this" but that will never make them fun when you kill two of them back to back and two more show up to take their place.

>>540865968Well in the first place chargers have directional armour that you have to play around; unless you're already holding AT it's not just see -> shoot, you might have to reposition, dodge, or kite them. Pieces can be shot off chargers that change how you fight them (blast the armour off a limb and switch to a lighter weapon). They're nothing groundbreaking but they're leagues better than fleshmobs.

Its ammo economy is one of the worst in the game if you're not utilizing the DoT. Arguably the best primary weapon for punishing stunned/gassed heavies. Cookout has much more stagger and push, and the rounds reload gives it more uptime. Its also better at utilizing the fire DoT because of the push and stagger keeping mediums off you. You can keep an entire bug breach off your team as they kill heavies with AT if you know how to rotate your targets.
