Here is the rundown of the new catalyst transmog changes. If you play 1-2 characters basically nothing changes and it’s arguably easier to collect all the tints. If you want to get all the tints across all classes like u did last patch and am pretty close to doing this patch, it’s basically impossible unless you want to devote an extra 40-60 hours a week to just getting all the mythic tints.The system in place right now, it’s not really that much more effort to get the mythic tints on an alt army if you consistently do 8s 11s etc. I tried getting the mythic tints on all the classes back when you could only get them through m+ and it’s just not realistically possible. Doing 50-100 mid level keys is just absolutely oppressive week in and week out without a dedicated group.

Wow is the only game I really play these days. It’s important to me. There’s a lot of reasons beyond it being a game I enjoy, but I’ll spare the details. For context, I am nuerodivergent to the point of disability.I tried playing wow without addons recently when I was having computer troubles. It was awful. My dots and buffs dropped all the time, I was standing in things and not realizing it, missing mechanics, just an overall unpleasant experience.It’s not simply a “get good” angle. I am physically incapable of absorbing all of the information at once with how the game spreads them out. Not to mention that Cooldown Tracker just straight up doesn’t work. I need audio cues, timers, and condensed information. That’s the only thing I use for combat information. Oh, and I use vuhdu for healing. If that goes I am done with healing. Click and heal is so unpleasant, constantly having to make sure my target is correct and wasting spells/killing people because it wasn’t.I’m gonna wait and see, but prepatch is gonna decide a lot for me. Unfortunately they’ve slowly sucked any benefits away from having an alt army: gold, cheevos/mounts/mogs, mage tower/cm stuff, legendary quests. About the only benefit to having an alt army is that you can collect all the tints and that was briefly realistically possible last patch and this one but they detected fun and it’s back to being basically impossible across many characters. As a cg artist I closely follow a lot of their game design decisions from a gamer and professional perspective and I’ve never seen them flip flop so badly on an issue as they have with tints. Some patches you just afk kill bosses like the forbidden reach patch others it’s a massive grind others it’s possible to get the mythic tints on an alt army. They generally know exactly what they are doing with regards to game design decisions, even when it appears they don’t. But they seem completely lost on how to approach alts. At the original release it was a one character game, and I missed bc/wtolk/cata/mop so I don’t know what it was like then. Since wod it’s been a compete shitshow they really don’t know wtf they are going to do next and it’s probably related to overall community trends and behavior.
