>Shi Faust slanderAs an ID I think she's fine. and seeing some of discussion of her, not just here, but in other places too. I notice that some people just don't look at ID's on a scale of 1-10 now, and instead 1 or 10. where if an ID doesn't have something outright insanely strong, or if that strong aspect isn't spelled out, then the ID is called the new worst ID in the game. and IDs are exclusively discussed from the perspective of meta. I recently have noticed how long it takes people to actually get how to use IDs that aren't obvious in how good they are. like the N corp duo for example. it took people about a week to figure out how N Ryoshu is used and how to make N Sang and her combo well. and before that, it took about a month or longer for people to figure out how good N Sang is even without killing allies. then recent have seen Jia Ish has been figured out too apparently. and it looks like this season every ID is either really good and everyone understand that instantly, or good, and people take a long time to figure it out.
Shi Faust has some nice stuff to her. she introduced an interesting skill conversion mechanic, that we might see used in future ids (like how some standard fare ids in the past introduced a lot of new mechanics. Tremor Conversion, Retreat, Clashable Guard, Unbreakable coins.) and I think is the first ID with an unclashable skill? her s1 unconditionally rolls higher than most other s1's without conditions met, s2 and s3 has some nice damage. s3-2 is good, but I think this is the part that's gonna make it so that it's gonna take a while before people crack the code on using her. and lodged arrow is a great effect. at just 2 stacks you have 1 permanent fragile, and at 3 stacks, the def down makes it effectively 2 permanent fragile (and -1 final power to guards and evades) which is pretty nice to have. I think just like some other IDs this season, she's not meta or busted. so because of this, she's not put at like a 5, 6, maybe a 7. on that scale of 1-10. because she's a 1, because your either 1 or 10. I think she's maybe weaker than other IDs that faced this same issue int his season, her damage conditionals aren't as insane as N Sang's torn memory or N Ryoshu's Gaze for example. but I don't think this makes her a bad ID. In the end I think she's fun to use, even if not she's not the strongest ID ever made. and she's definitely not meta, but I think that's ok, I think if every ID released was meta the game might get a little too easy. I just wish at some point we stop calling IDs bad purely because of them not being usable for "stack 99 of a status and kill a boss on turn 4" stuff. yeah 4 turns is pretty long, and do think the one idea I saw mentioned of if her shield isn't broken she gets 2 Target aim instead of 1 would be a pretty nice addition for her
