For all it's flaws 17 is probably the most responsive PES to livemanaging and one you can run any average export that isn't fundamentally bad and livemanage your way to a win just finding the right set of sliders that match responds to. Livemanaging on 17 is a lot like lockpicking and probably the only PES it definately works on if you just keep turning the pick until something clicks and the other team loses unless they respond. But 17 is the most unreliable PES to test and is practically useless because of how sensitive it is to cpu speed. The only reliable way to 'test' is taking results from every streamer's machine and trying to figure out what set of sliders worked best there and keep re-using it on their machine. 16 was surprisingly accurate to test on but would throw a game up it just locks a team out and doesn't let them play every now and then. 15 is the worst of either world. Livemanaging doesn't really work or cause much response, the only thing that does is where it does anything that influences rng like subbing players, saving presets or other seemingly unrelated things that aren't sliders. Changing the numbers in attack or defence causes better starting play but doesn't work changing mid game. Testing is almost as useless on 15 as 17 because of how much it does what 16 does just stonewalling a team to get blown the fuck out at random but with twice the frequency 16 did. 15 is marginally better to watch than 16 because of the way attacking play builds up which makes use of a lot of trick card executions and actually behaves more like irl divegrass attacking play than any other PES. But it's just too hard to overlook how bad it is to manage on and how irritating it's flaws are, likewise the games being slower and feeling far more of a drag. Both are clearly inferior to 17 to watch.

As someone who has had to play against teams running 180cm and 175cm CBs and got told they were an automatic win, you can really go an entire game without noticing the difference. So you're not automatically screwed if you fuck up a height or two. Positioning will almost never be perfect though which is why you want big bodies always as CBs (and also because their longer legs can block more and cover more ground). And while you can go an entire game, or even an entire three games, without noticing their manletness, taller CBs will on average perform better. Plus if you have buffs, manlet stats are better served for passing or shooting than they are for trying to outjump a 99 rated, 185cm CF. Wrote that out as if you asked a question but I now see if was merely a statement.

I just haven't seen results anything like it in 15, green CBs defender no better than red ones. Red heights also look better for the extra stamina boost if given to fullbacks as something to keep them on good enough stamina until subbed at 65'. Overall red heights are looking clearly more useful, greens have yet to show any real value, maybe they work best on midfielders in 15, but the evidence from so far is so sketchy it really doesn't look like green heights are good at all for 15.
