Thinking about getting into Vagrus again, since the DLC comes out next week and I haven't even been to the area from the last DLCOne of my biggest complaints about it, is how there seems to be little in-universe incentive to ever leave the "starting zone", or if there is I haven't found it yet.Like the world is harsh and full of things that want to kill you, so why would my character ever want to stop grinding the same old trading route that gives a steady income. I guess once your Caravan grows big enough, you'll need to make bigger trade loops to keep things profitable after flooding a market with a resource. But for now the only reason to go to a new place is because I, the player, want to see what's out there.

I think the game does itself a big disservice by showing you this huge map but only letting you play in a small part of it. Powers in DOTO are just plain bad and are just worse versions of existing powers like slower and harder to use blink, worse possession and worse void gaze.I'd say, try to get past the first level of 2 (which is stupidly one of the hardest level in the whole game since you don't have powers and still aren't used to the much less permissive guards from 2), after that the game manages to stay quite good with some lows and some peaks. None of it is as bad as the worst levels of the Daud dlc. Finished Dishonored again. Like always I did stuff I've never done before. 11 hours for a near 100% run, I'm surprised by how short the game actually is. It's likely because I've played this game for close to 200 hours over the past... 11 years.Now here's 2 obscure glitches in Dishonored 1.During the part before the golden cat mission, you can get a glitched key in the sewers by opening the metal gate from outside and trying to open the pub's door from the sewers before talking to Havelock. This key can be used to open the room where Sokolov is kept. He even has unique dialogues after lady Boyle's party and the lord regent's assassination which are normally impossible to hear.The fireplace in the lord regent's bedroom can kill unconscious npcs without counting them as a kill for you. It's notable because Dishonored 1 blames you very easily for the death of npcs. Afaik, it's the only fire that does that. This time I used it to non-lethally kill the torturer instead of ignoring him. I spared Burrows instead of choking him and throwing him into the fire which is what I normally do.

At the end of the day Vampire Survivors started the Genre and anything afterwards is just a clone, and you can see that in all of the fucking clones, the only difference is the name, graphics, and how much more content is there. Going full packrat is now actually not as miserable as before, even without the best containers as res is also passively trained when above encumberence threshold - i've reached carrying cap of 17.5 units without neural boosters. Although, res pain threshold multiplier is a quite op on higher levels, i was digging in my own open ribcage bareclawed with like 80 pain and had zero penalties.Crafting has signficantly slowed down the pacing though, and right now it's not exactly balanced as to make it viable from item management perspective you need a special rare wearable container for materials which is not craftable on it's own. Otherwise you'll be shitting up all your bags with a ton of intermediate items and you'd have to severely limit your ambitions and drop most of the resources, carrying only the stuff you need to get what you want. Some items being entirely locked behind blueprints with no other way to find them is also quite bullshit, i would very rather have the old system where everything is avaible but with int checks, and make blueprints unlock more effective recipes which don't force you to dedicate third of your carrying capacity to materials. I am not against int checks overall because it's a very good nerf to high-level items like the neural booster/scaffolding pack which you could multistack on the first layer on previous versions with some luck, completely trivializing most of the mobility challenges. Largest issue with crafting is just how many things you have to craft which all take different base materials in order to get what you want, making you click through a ton of shit which ideally, you could auto-craft in sequence.

Drop capsule minigame is probably the most bland and boring one, as there's almost no depth to it and no penalty for losing - it's not long enough to impact the run as a whole but not short enough to be unnoticable, so it's just annoying.Liquid system is good and opens up some funny brewing possibilities. I've made a coffee-lemonade-naloxone mix, energizing without mood and sickness penalties. Option to tranfer and store away liquids is quite nice too, but all bottles acting as if they were always open unless they're inside of a container is very annoying, making large hand-carriable jugs completely impractical to use, as the slightest dip into lumalgae/oil makes contents instantly undrinkable. Finding barrels full of random bullshit and thinking of ways to make use of them is quite interesting too.New water physics are quite ass and don't make sense. They need a lot of tweaking, and getting completely immobilized because 2 tiles of oil touched your feet is shit, and sometimes it's completely outside of your control. Probably the worst part of the update so far.
