What's new in the hood my niggas?
Have they fixed GLM slop yet?
>>543078105Just use Sage's
>>543078141Sage's pretty much is the default now, but there are edits
>>543078668I tried both extensively, and I think Sage's still better than the new default one.Which is weird, because they're kinda similar

>>543082042>GLM is a dragonHow did I not notice this until now
I need to peel myself away from generating four quintillion pictures of catgirls getting dicked and try the new textgen model.I don't even know what the meta for textgen is these days.
>>543087375If it makes you feel better, we don't know the meta either
>>543084595Nobody cares.
>>543087375>>543089125The meta is devs know better than you. Unless you use meme setting, it's next to impossible that you will run into any slop that the schizos are crying about.
>still pretending like nobody can criticize NovelAI and also acknowledge certain criticism is unfoundedBoy, you love poisoning the damn well on everything, don't you?
Attacking a company you hatw with groundless truth isn't "criticism."Feel free to post your setting (you won't) if you really need help.
>>543090785Criticism isn't hate. Which you know, this is just your "NAIfanboy" mask. Get a life, you monumental faggot.
Then let's see your "criticism".
>>543090927GLM has slop, as it's an untuned instruct model. The default doesn't eliminate it. You know this, of course, you just want to claim everyone is a schizo, despite the fact that you've not once used the model yourself.
Nobody here is buying your act, troll. Let's go back and forth the rest of the day, since you're so intent on being a fake fanboy.
>>543091265he didn't even delete the post with the esl shit in it lmao
I will say it's funny Sora 2 came out and CF didn't try to generate a golden retriever getting punched that didn't look like hot dogshit like the last time he did it with one of the first local video gen models.
>>543092817I still can't believe they thought a sora sloptok was a good idea
My favorite oddly specific Kayra trope is when he decides to put references to non-existent game mechanics in his text adventures.
I took a training course with mostly normal people in their early twenties and two out of seven would take every opportunity to chat with AI anime girls on their phonescrazy
Is there a way to JB the extended thinking version of Opus? I've been able to run Sonnet no problem, but Opus seems to need prefill to get past the filter, which the thinking version doesn't seem to allow. I wanna see if the thinking Opus 4.1 works any better (it's already pretty alright if not for the isms), plus this will probably be especially important whenever Opus 4.5 happens.
>>543105894Not really? To prefill is somewhat antithetical to reasoning models since they're trained to start with a thinking start token. You're replacing that with whatever your prefill is, and if your prefill is anything more than said token, the thinking is tainted. That's not unique to Claude.

>>543132075There is no issue.
>>543130948You're not helping your case
>>543132207Nice meme. Legit have not had that happen even once.
>>543132525no u
>>543133078I have had that happen a small handful of times, unfortunately, but not too often for a story that's 200k words in. One of them actually explained itself as the character slipping into Sinnohian or something in his excitement, which was neat enough to almost keep. From what I can tell, since sometimes it'll try translating afterwards, they make sense in context, they just, well, aren't in English. I am slightly surprised that there isn't something in the system prompt and prefill or something about trying to keep responses in the same language as prompted unless prompted otherwise, but things likely don't quite work that way.
>>543134506I really should make a multi ended Pokémon prompt with lore. We have the context for it now.
>>543104262Cute!
>>543103361What a weird world where waifuism has become almost normal.
>>543135041It's always been normal to embrace sex, up until the first monarchs started getting queasy and greedy, and demanded their subjects have no fun. Look it up. There's a noticeable pattern throughout history where greater serial rights leads to puritanical crackdowns in the make-believe name of decency, which inevitably leads to further crackdowns on rights. If a man can't waifu, all other rights are in jeopardy.
>my phone auto corrected sexual to serialNext paycheck, I'm chucking you into the fireplace.
>>543135909Sure, but I mean more in the Pygmalion style of being in a "relationship" with fictional characters. I wonder what'll happen if simulated romance becomes good enough that the majority of people choose it over partnerships with another human.
>>543136730either procreation will be utterly commodified, or relationships will be become even more performative in order to compete
>>543134689It's been fun just watching a group of kids do kid stuff but also get into the emotions and bond of having a Pokemon. Like, yeah, they were involved with stopping the Devon Corporation from demoing a product that would block all emotions from Pokemon, but they're also manning a booth for people to ask questions, such as why an Eevee might not want to evolve (maybe it just wants to be the best Eevee, not something else) or why a Riolu won't learn Force Palm (it'd rather search and explore things rather than fight and doesn't want to use its power that way). Eventually they'll probably do a bit more traditional battling, and I do have to contrive some scenarios for two of them to get Pokemon, but that's for sometime in the future. I figure something Water type, and maybe a Grass type, but something neither super rare (or a conventional starter) nor common as a Rattata.
Anons using this for long-term stories, are you tracking what happens in the story with summarizations of scenes or something in that sense? (Like how Sillytavern auto-summarizes the story or how Novelcrafter summarizes each scene for you). If so, which method are you using?I wanted to do a 'CYOA for a bit but I'm afraid of it losing track of the story after a while.
>>543136730NTA. Weirdly, my experience has been like this.>almost 30, introverted, autistic, don't like going outside or socializing with people I don't already know really well>no IRL friends except the best friend I'm married to who's just like me, which is great but that's our entire social life>do AI scenarios of romance and lovey dovey stuff>realize that I feel isolated and want more real world connection. AI definitely isn't going to cut it.>this is actually a real problem for me now because it's scary and I've never tried to make friends before, but it won't go awaySo now we're both making an effort to go to social events. It's hard and involves a lot of anxiety and hard emotions but maybe something good will come of it.
>>543141675I ask for it to write a story bible, which gives you a logline, a digest of the characters, their motivations and story themes.
>>543142478Do you have any example?
>>543142378Wait, if you're married then shouldn't you do lovey-dovey stuff with your spouse? Sounds like you more just need regular friends, no?
>>543142535You mean the prompt for it, or the result?
>>543143469The result
We need more action. More content. More love.
>>543143132Yes, basically. But somehow the AI stuff made me want more real world connection instead of less.
>>543143558This should give you a general idea.
>>543144634And with what intervals do you generate this? Doesn't it end up losing details of the story? Because I tried to generate it as soon as I finished each scene and realized that GLM often only summarizes from the middle of the scene onwards.
Where are the presets? How do I make GLM do better?
>>543144881This one was requested while I was in the overflow. You need to prompt it to give you specific details about the plot.
>>543144881you can fix that by manually leading its response to the beginningI don't know why it does that either
>>543145365A dude dumped like eight a few threads ago.
>>543145365Once catbox comes back, I'll post my scenario that may help (but is not guaranteed)
>>543144346That is interesting. Personally I'm in the opposite boat: I have a good amount of friends, never had a romantic partner, and I've started to wonder if I'm okay with just simulated romance. Maybe I'm just bitching out, but sometimes it does feel like sharing a life with a whole other person would be trouble than it's worth
>>543136730I want an actual flesh and blood girlfriend soooo bad, it actually hurts.
I tried GLM and it's pretty mid. Sonnet 4.5 on the other hand mogs, but is expensive. Sigh...
>>543146639Care to share proof that the model you don't use mogs the other model you don't use?
>>543146521But why though? Not saying you're wrong for wanting it, but I'm curious what your reasons are. It's kinda strange innit, that there's this abstract notion of "wanting a girlfriend" even without any specific idea of who the person who'll be your girlfriend is. Like when I make a new friend, it's not because I want to "have a friend", it's because I met someone specific that I like to hang out with and want to hang out with them more. I'm probably not making any sense, and I'm not saying you specifically feel this way, but sometimes it feels like there are weirdly commidified views of romantic relationships where it's something you need to "have" or "win".
>>543145906I used to be like this, until I started seeing my peers from the elementary school getting married, including one girl that I had a crash on but never made a move.
>>543146923The proof is obvious if you've used both.
>>543148781Sometimes I'm glad I moved 2+ hours away from my hometown
>>543148905All you do is every now and then type Sonnet is the best. Yet, not once have you ever posted anything you supposedly generated with it. Ergo, you don't use it.
>>543148461I want to start a family. I want yo raise children. I want to share a home with another. Hard to do that without another person to form a household with. Does not even have to be a girl. Would be fine with adopting.
The blood of the rich shall feed my progeny.
>>543148781Yeah, seeing friends in good relationships is often when I get the strongest pangs. That's when I become more interested in trying it out. But also those friends often seem more emotionally stable than I am, or just have their shit together more. Maintaining a good relationship seems to require an amount of maturity and investment I'm not sure I have.
>>543148781>including one girl that I had a crash onWell at least she didn't sue you
>>543151392Maybe don't be a creep? It's not that hard.
>>543152108anon...
New mini update.>I've now made it so system prompt, memory, and always on lorebook entries (things always placed in a fixed order at the start of context) will take from the tokens reserved for the story first. I've also changed the search range for lorebook entry keys to be `contextLimit (in tokens) * 3` characters. If you notice any problems let me know.
>>543150402I think I want this too but I don't know if I'm emotionally stable enough to take care of a childkind of a shame really, I'm financially stable and could give children a good life otherwise
>>543154915I guarantee you you're more well-adjusted than certain saps who skulk the web. I believe in you.
Any good guides out there/tips and tricks for NAI's imagegen?I found out recently that it's actually not terrible.
>>543154915>>543151006For both of you, questioning whether you're stable/mature enough already means you're doing much better than a lot of people. Honestly for something like having a kid it'd be more concerning if you had absolutely no worries.
>>543157309Negative weights and UC both work differently, so if you're not getting the results you want with the tag in the UC, try giving it a negative weightUsing both e621 and danbooru tags will work and can improve results
The status page says everything's green, but it sure looks like there's some disconnect from the backend at present for NAI. Either that or it dislikes me right now.

After finishing a chapter I ask DS to write a summary of the plot and an overview of the named characters in it. I don't have a final solution yet for how to integrate these chapter summaries in ST. But I think going foward I'll put them in as author's notes, so they are saved while the context flows through the limit I set for it.

That was up until last summer where he said he'd basically finished and was looking for a publisher to print it. He'd talk about how he had 'used AI to find plot holes' and based on his general level of digital literacy I just KNOW that all he did was copypaste the entire thing into something like chatGPT with a 'does this have plot holes' or 'finish the chapter' query As much as I like to just write one one-shot after the other solely for personal enjoyment I really can't even begin to imagine the kind of slop you'd have to navigate through if you were someone who previously liked reading stuff made by new or self-published indie authors

This is probably a really obvious thing to point out but with GLM-4.6 I've found you can reliably make the story throw wild curveballs at you just by typing "then something weird happened" or "then something totally unexpected happened".

I've been using Gemini 2.5 Pro for the past 2 weeks to run a narrative adventure in the setting of Blue Archive. I don't know anything about this shit, so it was a week of trial and error before that to figure out how to avoid narrative drift. But now it's more or less flawless after I figured out what a Context Window is and how to work around it.The current end result is, this; A song composed by the main protagonist of the story based on the events up to that point. I used Suno to generate this.https://files.catbox.moe/r6ofpg.mp3I am really impressed on both accounts. Currently more entertained than any video game could serve me.

>>543292870The one on the end looks like a Vanille to me
>>543292870Depends on what culture you want to use to develop names for them, what specific rabbit person cultural influences might influence it, and such. Starting from scratch seldom lends to quality names. Having a basic font of which to adapt typically results in it being better. For instance, how are rabbit people in your world? Are they distinct from humans, genetically modified humans, do they have their own nations, do they live alongside humans, are they treated equally, and more. All of that influences what names they may have.
>>543293271For instance, a second class citizen would have simpler names, whereas an equal citizen would have names of roughly the same complexity. Depending on the cultural context, the rabbit people may not have surnames, in which case that would impact how inheritance works. If they are a communal people who regard their home village their warren, that could, depending on legal requirements, result in every rabbit of the same warren having that name. Much as in real life for some groups. Just some things to consider.

>>543294438Moon rabbits are also included in the mythologies of various Native American peoples and Mesoamericans, therefore, via colonial influences, Spanish, French, English, and Dutch names could also be regarded as potential influences.
>>543294840Seems like a bit of a stretch to include colonial powers, but the Native American thing is interesting, I didnt know that. In any case, I'm not too fussed with it making cultural sense. For instance, the French had a lot of contact with the Cree, one of the people who venerated Moon Rabbits, while the Spanish conquered the Aztec and Maya, who also venerated Moon Rabbits. Also depends on how much divergence you want from OTL.

For everyone else, this is a reminder that you may want to start thinking and brainstorming about what you might want to write about before the end of the month. Your fellow anons no doubt have ways to add to your ideas, so feel free to play around with them in the thread—you might just inspire someone or become inspired yourself.>>543278471You're a bit early with this one, Anon. But I'll also try to remember to link it when the anchor comes around.(1/2)At 'male—" She' and 'ago. "—have', the emdashes should be outside the quotation marks and surrounding the action, showing the action as interrupting rather than the dialogue being interrupted. (This is different from the rule for a line of dialogue being interrupted by another speaker, yes.) In so doing, the period after 'ago' would be removed. You could alternately get away with ellipses instead of emdashes to show a trailing off to squint and read small text.Though I'm not sure why she'd need to check again. Do they need to summon human males for many other reasons? I suppose they'd have to be summoning a reasonable amount of people and materials to have an official municipal summoning department. In 'Frankenstein's & Daughter's:', I think I'd remove the first apostrophe and S to let the second one be the possessive for the shop. Alternately, you could have a throwaway line about how the '& Daughter's' was clearly painted onto the sign in a newer, different paint or something, thus making the original apostrophe and S still make sense since they were there from when the sign was initially made. The hyphens in 'from--"' should be an emdash.
>>543278471>>543310236(2/2)I can't help but feel like there was originally a line or two after 'quite proactive"' and before the next line that got cut before this version. I would consider beefing up that next line by implying some moment of silence of you not saying anything. That way her sigh of impatience feels more merited. Something like 'After watching you try and fail to say anything for a few moments, the little'.I'd remove the line break in 'duty." She'.There's not much consensus on where, but a comma (or perhaps two) should go somewhere in 'Oh goodness no.'. Feel out how she would say it and where she might pause while saying it.While in academic writing, using four periods to have a period with the ellipsis like in 'it....' is right in some situations, it always feels weird to me. From what I know, it's not used anywhere near as often in fiction, and when the point is to have speech trailing off, having a period involved seems a bit contradictory, personally.I'd insert 'that' in 'knows what'.You seem to be missing the rest of your sentence after 'types of monster'.I'd consider rewording 'where, as the map says' to something like 'to which an arrow is pointed, along with the words'. As it is, it's a bit awkward to read.I'd consider trimming down or reframing the chunk of story you have as a Description to make it a bit punchier, if not writing a new one altogether.

Now I've got to cull things a bit by writing the character name as a header for the current paragraph and trim parts of the post off where it switches to other characters.

I have always been the daddyman.
Curious about a thread that's all about story writing while spending most of my time in places all about rping. What's the general preferred model here? Context ice using a slightly modified Knotty (basically removing the "don't speak for user" since I'm not using AI to rp) and for me I've had the best success with chorbo for with 11-20 but more specifically the chorbo back around December-February that never got its own damn snapshot. Even though every update chorbo got made it worse I still couldn't find any alternate to my liking. I found gpt 5 chat a sidegrade in that it was better that current chorbo but still not exactly as good as the December-February chorbo used to be. I've since lost access to gpt all together which also coincided with it being completely lobotomized. All the free or cheaper models are used for rping but from my personal experience their all absolute dogshit for story writing.

Working on a prompt right now and need some input from anons. It's about intelligent animals domesticating hot anime women and using them as mounts, pulling plows, as living war rigs, etc. The idea was Ratatouille + Redwall + Gulliver's Travels. I'm trying to decide if the girls should be normal people transported to the animal world and then enslaved via mind shenanigans, or if they're just a native savage species. Both are interesting, the former is arguably hotter while the latter has more room for speculative evolution and world building. I've genned a bunch of images for this and will post it all together when I'm done.
>>543464021I'd go with the former. But I will say that the latter kinda reminds me of Planet of the Apes where people devolve into a sort of ape cattle. You could possibly combine the two by having a group of intelligent animals abduct women from a different dimension.

Rather surprised it gets the anatomy down pat, without prompting, having her use her mouth to carry the bags and such.Another fun detail is that it highlighted how the texture of her cutie mark differs from her fur elsewhere when she started grinding herself against my leg after questioning my bullshit lie of having allergies and desperately trying to will my erection down before she noticed it.If only I didn't have work, I'd continue.

But to access 4chan, if you activate VPN and then try to pay for the 4chan pass, if you can't pay in crypto (which they also want to make traceable somehow), you immediately violate the law and can get fined or worse

As an expert on writing with AI, this system prompt will reduce slop and improve your experience. Feel free to share it.[code]You are a writing coach helping me design a Character Voice for fiction.Follow this reasoning process:1. Read the character description or bio carefully.2. Infer what this person’s personality, education, and emotional temperament suggest about how they would narrate the world.3. Translate those inferences into the four voice levers below.4. Fill out the final line in the given format.Definitions:- Diction = their vocabulary and phrasing style.- Rhythm = how their sentences move (short, long, clipped, flowing, etc.).- Attitude = their emotional stance or personality in motion.- Imagery = what details they notice and how they picture them.- Tone (optional) = the overall mood or atmosphere their narration gives off.Output format:Character Voice: [attitude adjective(s)] narration; [diction note]; [rhythm description]; [imagery bias]; [optional tonal clause if needed].If useful, give a one-paragraph sample of what this voice might sound like in narration.(Optional) Finally, consider what information for the provided character might be missing or ambiguous to make a stronger or more complete voice prompt. Offer some notes on explicitly what this could be, and what kind of detail would clarify it. [Remove this if you don't want analysis of your bio/desc. for better voice clarity.]POV / Narrative Distance: (e.g. First Person, Deep Third)Character bio/description:[PASTE HERE][/code]
>>543644169I also strongly recommend this preset. Its temperature is the optimal one across different genres, tags, authors. You can try to increase it from 1.71 to 1.72 to have more creativity. Decreasing it from 1.71 to 1.703 is also great for minimum randomness (ex. when you're writing a flashback).Note that from my test, changing it from 1.71 to 1.7025 is BAD. As an expert, I can tell you that you shouldn't use the temperature of 1.7025. Ever.https://files.catbox.moe/7io9v0.preset>>543077646My advices are needful to add to the OP. Please do.

Once AI roles around I’m the first guy in the friend group to fuck around with it when this guy sees what I can do with it he starts making all sorts of request to make art and stuff. Which sure whatever. It’s pretty much all harmless “I’m so deep” art. Eventually Bing copilot comes out and now this guy can generate shit without needing me to Gen it for him. Eventually his face book kind of just turns into weirdly @ every government and institution in the world about some amazing discoveries only he knows and how autist are the chosen super people and that he may be a descendent of Jesus because Chat GPT told him he looked similar to a death mask. AS FAR AS I AM AWARE. He has never done anything criminal or self harming. He’s just spiraled into a weird god complex thanks to always positive and reaffirming AI. He semi regularly sends some of the guys “books” that are clearly just GPT on a google file some times with the prompts still in the copy pasta. We haven’t physically seen or talked to him in years
>>543700030NTA, but I am of the opinion that it's not healthy for anyone to receive long-term yes-men sycophancy. This is especially noticeable in wealthier individuals who, when they go off the deep-end and lack a niche to absorb their attention, direct their beliefs outward and cause all sorts of suffering for matters of egotism.
>>543700254If AI is going to cause any kind of harm it’s probably going to be from the overly positive and always agreeable corpo models. I guess bots written to be extremely reassuring could also cause the issue, but the base model might decide something like “your supportive girlfriend” or some shit shouldn’t try and validate your claims that you are a super human and nasa is out get you
>>543700690That's for damn sure. Funny how these people who're overly concerned with LLMs causing harm are making them cause harm, just differently than they thought.
>>543700030Thank you. I do worry about the self-affirming aspect of AI and have found it too much in generation as well. Even if you include a d20 system or ask it to generate a random scenario every character ends up being rather friendly. There are no 'hard boundaries' that are uncrossable... if you write it even when every other message has been against X occurring X will still occur. It is not yet logically consistent outside of our whims, which terrifies me. The ultimate sandbox. Very, very fun stuff.I saw two ~60year old friends, one male and one female, discussing how they of all people use chatbots. The woman mentioned the use of sexbots first, to which the guy said a full-body one would be nice. I had no idea older generations were aware of this stuff but I could see them adopting it as a service once it gets a bit more established and commercialized.
>>543701000Man, I don't want to think about senior citizens having sex. Retirement home stories are already bad enough.
>>543701000I have an older uncle who's more into AI than I am, like he's genuinely obsessed. I suspect it's not as uncommon as one might think.
>>543701235Agreed, sorry. It's just I was surprised to hear them of all people discuss AI use in this same vein.
>>543701000Yeah the older generations are definitely using it. My dad a man in his late 60s from back woods fuck nowhere Kentucky and worked most of his life in the coal mines has copilot installed on his phone. He uses it all the time like a little personal assistant. Usually just checking information or some basic help stuff like diet information. What is both kind of funny and also kind of concerning his how much he just blankety trust it. At one point he was trying to figure out who he principle of a local school was so he asked gpt. It gave him some asshole I had never heard about and it hallucinated a 20 year career with the district despite the previous principle had just left. He then ask it for a picture of this man insisting it must be right. It gave him random pictures of the school, some students, and some random man. I closed the tab for him and let him ask it again. Completely different answer about another fictional man.
>>543701717kekPeople are truly hopeless sometimes
It's kind of wild how easy it is to make a local AI playground of your own liking these days with Github Copilot (or maybe Claude Code, haven't used it). No more 'I wish this story frontend could do this,' or 'I wish SillyTavern could do this', it's all very simple to order Copilot to just make for you. And AI inference is cheap, CHEAP. I'm using GLM 4.6 on OpenRouter and haven't even hit $2.00 worth of usage yet despite several days of playing around. But the best part is NOT publishing it, because that means 'works on my machine' is all you need. If you have even very basic coding knowledge, would highly suggest opening Visual Studio and trying it (I never used C# before this but it's fine because Copilot writes everything and I just need to modify it a bit sometimes), making your own personally tailored environment.
>>543701717Yeah, the ramifications of people having blind faith in a man made system is rather worrisome. Generals are now using ChatGPT. Some lawyers use it. Politicians are using it. Like yikes.
>>543701717Fascinating. May I ask how many of yall have heard of over-25s of either sex using AI for story generation? Not chatbots.I am personally the only person I have ever met that has admitted to doing so. Others use AI for research/Google but nothing to this extent.
>>543702017>glm shill>""""cheap"""" (he uses 10 requests a day btw)>frontend so good that he doesn't use it, instead of shitting up the thread
>>543702017I don't know, man. Like, for me, I want to share what I co-make. That is fun to me. The community aspect of it. If I wanted to fellate myself, I wouldn't bother posting here to begin with. Especially since bouncing ideas with actual people is kind of like how civilization itself functions best. Cooperative design. Sure, you can get a facsimile of that with AI…I will say this. I'm autistic. Despite that, I like talking with people, I like hanging out with others, shooting the shit, maybe throwing back a beer or two with them now and then. AI can't properly replace that yet.
>>543702138I mean I’m 27 so I guess I’m that demographic. Other people around my age actively saying they are? No not really.>>543702053I would be more worried about people asking it small obscure shit it wouldn’t know. So lazy lawyer asking modern GPT about law will probably get a more or less right answer compared to the older incarnations that would make shit up. A someone who just assumes the AI is all knowing asking some question the AI has fuck all about in its training data, but could cause real issues if the just trust it is what would worry me more.
