Finally finished my modded Tehenhauing campaign in WH2. Unnatural selection mod to purge Lustria of anything but rats and lizards, then boosted Ikit/Skrolk to max and gave all factions starting Tier 5 citiesA very fun campaign, probably one of the best I ever had. Some actual challenge. Pic related happened like five times.It really felt apocalyptic, with 10+ skaven armies running around, me using rite of sotek attrition and them twice spreading plagues that nearly led to the fall of two of my main settlements.Some highlights included>kino battle with my 1 Tehenhauin stack vs Ikits 2 stacks early in the campaign>Gor-Rok basically defending against a three stack siege of Itza by himself>summoning a primeval glory army just as two skaven armies were marching on my capital>multiple defensive sieges at Xlanhuapec and Tlaxtlan>Kroak and Gor-Rok vaporizing any stack they foughtAll in all, if the unnatural selection mod still works in 3, I would highly recommend playing around with it. Dark Elves got a massive overhaul coming from 5th to 6th edition. The rest was mostly metal, even new kits like the Hydra. Are Cathay caravans the ultimate cuckoldry?I cannot think or comprehend of anything more cucked than having Cathay caravan mechanics. Honestly, think about it rationally. You are funding, researching, and sending a caravan for at least 8 turns solely so it can go and get ravaged by another faction. All the hard work you put into your beautiful little caravan stack - picking events, choosing the perfect traits, caring so it has a healthy unit roster, selecting the best skills, choosing the best target. All of it has one simple result: it's contents are more enjoyable for the faction that will eventually attack it at every stop.Raised the perfect caravan? Great. Who benefits? If you're lucky, a random faction who had nothing to do with the way it was build up. They gets to reap the spoils of it every turn. They get the benefits of her cargo that came from your coffers.As a player who has a Cathay caravan mechanic, you are LITERALLY dedicating at least 10 turns of your campaign raising a caravan for another fraction to enjoy. It is the ULTIMATE AND FINAL KEK. Think about it logically.

They are technologically and militarily outclassed by basically all of their enemies, their peasants are ACTUALLY really fucking bad and need good heroes and reliques to hold their ground, they have the least 'special' fantasy units out of any faction, with really only the Pegasus and Hippogryph knights mixing up their rosters filling that role.They feel like a genuine medieval kingdom from the 1300s, surviving in a world with horrors far, far beyond their pay grade, refusing to let it hold them back, and fighting as hard as they can for what is right anyway.Its badass. The underdog hero, the come-from-behind success story, it makes you feel good.Cathay doesn't feel like that. They ape it at first with their early game, but their roster is so overloaded with all the good shit they could think of, and they're so vast and powerful, so vibrantly colored next to the mostly dull palettes of the warhammer world, they have dragons but they're different dragons than all the western ones because reasons, and they're missing the cool stuff from the old lore that would make them more complex like their vampire sects and the Monkey King.They just feel like a cheap attempt to impress the Chinese, and thats because thats literally what they are lol
