I was thinking of a new Omega setup. 4 Guardian Arkveld sets to keep everyone healing every part break and defense decent, 4 graviton hammers all smashing it in the leg over and over to trigger explosion damage and part breaking while having extra damage to keep everyone tanky and healing and keeping the monster down. It's weak against explosions too.

The problem is that the MH games are esentially single player MMOs meaning going through a game takes like, 500 hours at the minimum, so its hard to just play through the series back to back.If you want my subjective opinion on the highlights of this series, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd and Rise is basically the best hits of MH. World also has some impressive moments but its the MH game that feels the most generic.

If you start with FU then anything that comes before will feel like just retreading the same ground but with more tedium but if you start with anything after then you get bogged down with stuff that won't ever be relevant again like underwater or stuff that gives you too many crutches like GU or stuff that might give you the wrong impression about what monster hunter is like 4U. So you'd think I'd just recommend starting with gen 1 but honestly if you haven't played at least some monster hunter before you're very likely to get absolutely fucking filtered to hell by gen 1. Overall I'd probably say just start with GU . It's got most of the monsters in the series so it's a least a good primer on getting used to the same faces you'll see over and over and more importantly it's pre-world so you won't get hard filtered by older stuff like if you started with post-world games. It's also relevant because everything after GU has GU dna to some extent. So start with GU and when you inevitably get filtered towards the end of the game go to gen 1 and play through the games in order so when you come back to GU you're ready. If you can finish GU you really should be able to handle pretty much anything the new games can throw at you
