Danya's death makes me want to puke, it's very upsetting, and it doesn't add up. The guy was loved by thousands, was a chess celebrity, was deeply engaged in his community, has a full schedule, was a top online player, ivy league education, came from a wealthy family full of successful people, had an interesting and privileged upbringing. The idea that he would off himself because of Kramnik's nonsense doesn't add up. It seems more likely that he had a lot of other mental health issues and a pill addiction. Kramnik didn't help but he couldn't be THE ONLY reason Danya died. It's a very unusual situation and I think a lot is hidden from us, may never be revealed fully.

Excellent overview of common openings and the concepts around their gameplans.Once you have decided on your preferred repertoire, though, I recommend exploring other books that are more focused on your particular openings and some more advanced endgame studies.

Just farmed 1500 to 1650 in a couple days spamming Alekhine O'Sullivan gambit. Hitting the point where Allyekhine doesnt work anymore

I can't imagine playing normal moves because unorthodox opening I've studied heavily keep me in my comfort zone while my opponent doesn't know whats going on. Is this a good philosophy or do you prefer Roy Lopez, Karo Khan, or Sicilian games that are sound but everyone's seen thousands of times?
