If your officers are good and stable, the rest of the guild will fall into place after 1-2 tiers (ive been in a w1500 guild that went from that to W50 from Legion->BFA), so long time shit guilds are the worst places to be on the planet because despite having the most room to improve they improve the least.

For me, if the officers are open and honest and good, there is only 1 way to go as long as they cared about making it a good guild. The issue is (you will hear this alot from alot of gms and i think its cringe personally) "our guild is perfect, so we have no spots because we are perfect", and its like a w1000 guild (this could only be the case if you raid for like 4hours a week), so the reality is "we dont want to trial you because we are really lazy". Obviously no guild should curate a roster more than like 24 long-term and raidbuffs are a real issue with lower end guild comp creation (this is because you might have like 4 really good mage players and you want them all in so the only people who can see raid time are non-duplicate classes).

I have levelled one character of every class and race, some through questing and some through dungeons, and even at max lvl some of my dungeon characters were missing 2-3 slots of real equipment.Even if they don't help you level even faster anymore, they help you againt Blizzard's botched scaling so you can level at all.
