All right, I'm starting to warm up to this thing, at least against squids. It's actually pretty handy when you need to down a Watcher or Elevated Overseer, especially since it fills a niche role instead of the usual "I ran out of bullets for my primary and was caught with my pants down" bullshit. I think the removal of damage falloff over distance helped it more than the patch suggested, you can pretty reliably kill a Watcher in four shots from lock-on distance. A full magazine is required to kill an Elevated Overseer, but if your primary and support aren't well-suited for it, it's super nifty.
