Gonna be honest /dg/, I am never gonna forget about destiny. I grew up my life in destiny and my loser ass got the only people I care about from destiny. I will forever seethe that they drop destiny's quality with destiny 2 and continued to slowly butcher the series more and more every year. When I think of destiny, I dont think edge of fate, final shape, etc. I think of destiny 1 tower, late night kingsfall runs with drunk dads trying to teach us mechanics, sparrow racing, tranquility, private matches, combined arms, black spindle ship farming, nightfalls, iron temple, venus etc. There's a few good memories from 2 but they get overshadowed by d1. Again im never gonna forgive bungie for fucking me in the ass and I refuse to think of bungie as the developers of halo and d1. Im also annoyed that I can't do anything to fix this game. Not even my feedback will make a difference. I dont know why we designed everything to be around a big hug box when it comes to feedback and design choices but I guess thats how this ship is gonna sink. Anyway im gonna continue my life without destiny anymore, but the memories of d1 will always be with me like PTSD

Everything is more grindy and difficulty is able to be adjusted for such. The bad thing about these changes though is the fact 100% of everything is seasonal based and only most recent stuff in each season will only be useful. This eliminates the point of grinding because everything you grind for will be pointless next season so why try hard when you can just do the bare minimum to clear content. The grind itself is repetitive essentially making you run the same mission over and over until your max power. To unlock t5 weapons you have to do the cancer that is guardian ranks to be able to be allowed to get higher drops. They reworked armor stats but majority of the stats are dogshit so you only need to worry about weapons or super for damage. Buildcrafting is entirely seasonal based now so using anything you want is now punished heavily. Exotics are also seasonal based so check the checklist for what you can use. The game is not fun. Its like shadowkeep tier where you have to camp in the back of the map and plink enemy healthbars for 10 hours just to kill something. Thers free reign buuldcrafting, there's no fun combat, and the grind is utterly pointless. Story is shit, game can't function properly every update, and the developers are lazy. Now stop being a stupid faggot and drop the idea of ever picking up this game again

I'm not even bullshitting, Shadowkeep and even crap seasons are somehow infinitely more dignified and complete than what is present. Bungie spun it like being down to 1 Raid and 1 Dungeon a year would free up time to focus on a lot of things and it really just had some minor rearranging of furniture and so much in disarray. They tried to make leveling grind be a filler role for content and it just burned more people when you start to realize that you're going to have to slurp down a tedious repetitive grind(even with some of the adjustments) just to start seeing loot you care about. Lastly the new Portal system squats huge portions of content's relevancy. All complete self sabotage especially when they wanted constant resets as a mainstay and people to be repeating the grinds
