They're strong visual designs but Iori's character falls apart completely the moment you interrogate his personality and motivations.SNK's characters were always better than the competition because they had very strong motivations and character dynamics. Terry had his animosity with Geese and later a personification of Southtown, Ryo used his strength to protect those he cared deeply about, Kyo is a drifter who learns about responsibility amongst a group of characters with their own outlook on responsibility etc.
