i added the blocking system from Roek you can select in the menu. it has a few sliders so you can customize the movement how you want. it uses 1 to 1 movement with the mouse for blocking.

simple blocking works identically to mount and blade you just hold it down and it locks into an angle, advanced blocking has 1 to 1 tracking with the mouse, you have to move the mouse into the correct angle. you can adjust the arm movement speed and mouse sensitivity. i was considering adding an "auto" block feature that works as you suggest but ill see how this feels for people first.

Also, some of the ketchup was dropped because she was a bit careless.

In the end creating surprise is creating a false trail of evidence that points to something, only to reveal that the reality is a diferent conclusion, but that could be totally predictable once you understood the plot twist.

Bottom pic I had to move the godot face pretty far because the zoom is jacked up.

There are an infinite number of things that already increase dopamine and the ADHD meds are basically the simplest thing if you don't want to think about it and just have a steady trickle feed all day which keeps you regulated.
There are lots of other activities and substances that people use to successfully regulate their dopamine as well.

When I was growing up nobody talked about any of this and it wasn't common knowledge and kids were just dropping like flies left and right to drug addiction and depression.

Adding "enchants" to special chips. Basically the exact same as balatro's modifiers. Some can be beneficial, some not so much. The idea is they can add challenge, and make powerful chips less of an instant grab if they have a bad enchant.

Pretty happy with the system in general, this can be applied to any chip and "just works" with my tool tips.

I dunno, I'm not really worried so much about it failing. its unitys configurable joint, it took quite a bit of tweaking of it get these behaviours but i'm pretty familiar with it at this point. you can use the configurable joint to produce a lot of really realistic behaviours.

the idea with the destruction mode levels is all the objects will have high levels of interactivity and realistic physics.

Hell Maiden doesn't have interesting progression. The visuals are great but the game is just a VS like in the very basic way possible. The card building system is neat but that's about it.

Meanwhile Ball X Pit has an insane amount of unlocks, a cool little meta progression mini game between runs, great visuals and fun gameplay that stands out. This is the level you need to be on for a good change at success. Well, Hell Maiden will probably sell alright because of the visuals. I foresee people buying it, having fun for a couple hours and then forgetting about it. The game's unoriginality is unlikely to lead to a lot of bad reactions and refunds.

I'm bothered anons, by my lack of "standardized" knowledge about game devving.
What I mean by that is, you know how in school you learn about history, math, english etc. and the courses follow a standardized format, with notions that are universal and agreed upon no matter what school you go to? Like take history for example, you're always going to learn about the romans, then the middle ages, then the discovery of the Americas etc.
But with gamedev courses, with the ones I took, I always felt like I never really got a wholistic understanding of what's taught. More often than not I have to look up how to's and tutorials on YouTube to fill the gaps those courses have and I always feel like they're improvised solutions the creator of the video discovered, rather than the "right" or "standard" solution.
Game dev I feel desperately needs some sort of standardized teaching, I always feel like the things I'm trying to implement aren't being done in the most efficient way possible, quite the opposite in fact

a lot of people are going to waste a lot of time and money trying to brute force a tool. luckily things like kickstarter have been beat into oblivion, so they won't be wasting other peoples money.

for some reason it seems like the hardest part as a creative person is to stick to a genre.
somehow creativity makes you want to explore different things. yet from an artist identity standpoint it's suicide to not stick to a genre.
also improvement mostly happens when specializing in something.
you cannot have a brand or an identity without a recurring theme.

i feel like for success it's inevitable to tackle this problem.

there is no money in those games, only resources. it makes you think about resources instead of money again. it kinda grounds you in "reality" again. you hunt for food, you cook it and you eat it. and not "how can i serve people in order to get money to buy food".

i think a lot of people want that feeling and therefore they play those games. because in reality a lot of people, especially the ones living in big cities, can't experience this anymore.

They're never going to get beyond the asset flip stage. And that's what they're competing with right now, asset stores. AI doesn't solve any gamedev problem that isn't already solved by an asset store, or a game template, or an asset pack.

I work with AI at my job, it's virtually impossible to get it to correctly and reliably produce consistent results for a given task. Say you want to get it to generate summaries of a document uploaded by the user. The prompt alone for that is pages long and is kept in version control in case some innocuous change causes the AI to have a meltdown. The task of wrangling the AI to produce document summaries still has several devs dedicated to it. The amount of work hasn't decreased, the nature of the tasks that people have to do has changed and the class of features that could be automated has marginally expanded. What you used to be able to pay a room full of thirdworlders to do you can now pay a few devs and OpenAI to do, I'm not sure which is cheaper.

For AI gamedev the prompts involved are going to be absoutely massive

I can do it quickly via free app on the phone, but pc requires either turning on the plugin on every browser I got or using a program that requires you to install plugins anyway, but doesn't work unless you want to block whole programs.
