After finishing the story and completing the maps, this expansion is clearly better than the previous 2 mini expansions (but obviously not better than the first 3 larger expansions). Anyone saying otherwise should just quit, you're never going to enjoy anything this game adds. The biggest complaint I have is there are too many copy/pasted events and events that take way too fucking long for little reward. The event chains in the NW section of the 2nd map are great, I wish there were more events with that quality.

But at least VoE's 2nd map feels mostly finished and has a meta event that isn't horrible. The story missions also are much better in VoE on average. The jumping puzzles are also pretty good and better than we've gotten in forever. Elite specs are also more interesting than weapons.

It's not as aggressively bad as LS1 or EoD, but feels like two living world chapters stretched out over a year. It'd rank it above LS1 but below EoD since something actually happens in EoD.Secrets of the Obscure has the opposite problem, that is, it should have been two expansions for the scope of the story it was supposed to tell. Since it's the abridged version of a living story season, it gets the same rating of another abridged version of a living story, so it's Champions tier as far as I'm concerned.
