It's funny, in order to gate your levels, they just give you a 2000 xp level spike when so far it's been like a few hundred to level. 6000 xp has given me 15 levels (which maths to about 400 each), and then they suddenly want 2000 for one level. While things in this area are still giving like 7 for a passed check, and 2 for an enemy killed in combat.

You can get up to 22 profit factor in chapter 1 here, but you lose 2 if you choose the nice option during abelard's side quest with the lower decks, putting you at 20, which means there is exactly 1 item you can't buy here. Why is armor so bad in Wrath? It was decently good in Kingmaker, where PJs could still better for tanking by end game, but not by that much and required significantly more feat investment to get better than armored builds. In Wrath, the lighter armored builds shit on the heavy armor builds from the getgo, and by late game, a wizard or rogue in a robe is a better tank than a knight with endgame fullplate.

I wouldn't bother with level 20 abilities desu, very few actually make a huge difference at that point and your prebuffing will already make you OP.Plus skalds can give your entire party the pounce ability which makes it so that you can perform a full action after a charge, which is probably more OP than gendarme's level 20 ability.As for sable, rangers in general benefit a lot from their favored enemy feats assuming you pick them correctly, in wrath it's easy to figure out what to pick, so yeah if you only dip in it you'll use all the favoured enemy feats.
