Halloween editionPrevious thread: >>544502215>Life is Strange(LiS) - An episodic narrative adventure game by developer Don’t Nod (DN). Set in the fictional coastal town of Arcadia Bay, Oregon, it follows Max Caulfield, a shy, awkward photography student who discovers she can rewind time and—perhaps more urgently—that she’s very, very gay. At the heart of the story is Max’s reunion with her estranged best friend, the rebellious, blue-haired Chloe Price. Their bond becomes the game’s pulsing queer core as they unravel the mystery of Rachel Amber’s disappearance. What begins as a teenage reconnection blooms into a messy, tender queer odyssey about grief, desire, and the impossible choices we make for the people we can't truly live without.LiS Series Steam:https://store.steampowered.com/curator/36149206Discussion of other LiS games, Don't Nod's Lost Records, the TV show and other similar games is welcome!
We will live, even if Life is Strange dies by incompetence
>Never believe that the anti Chloe trolls are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge.>But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Chloe have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors.>They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.
>Be Deck Nine>Get a contract with Square Enix to make LiS games>Make Before the Storm, a prequel centered around the popular character of Chloe Price and her relationship with Rachel Amber as told by the first game>It respect Chloe's character, with even a bonus DLC episode with her and Max as kids>Successful enough to grant them other works and grow as a company>Make Double Exposure, a sequel long requested by Square to cash on Max's nostalgia>Shat on Chloe's character development and her bond with Max, trying to replace her with D9's shallow OCs>It bombs so badly it starts a domino effect leading to D9's downfall as a gaming company>still contractually obligated to push out a DE2 despite crunch, lack of manpower, constant layoffs and the looming shutdown of the company
fake and gay thread. mods pls delete. sage
>>544748336No
>>544750185It's fair to dislike Chloe because at first she's brash and impulsive, but another thing is to getting really skin deep and just see her as being that type of person with no chance to growth or change while defending Nathan or David MadsenIf you think it's "very important" for you to Chloe being dead in a bathroom at the lowest point of her life, you have issues
And also, this point is specifically referring to the bad faith trolls that have plagued /lisg/ by a while, who do not care about the franchise but only comment out of spite
>>544738575They included LR in the actual thread. Why did you make a seethe response this time? >>544725382 >>544750876So like all the LRfags who post to spite DE?
>>544751181It's a lot more simpler if you just put the curator list of all LiS games if you care so muchAll of this wouldn't be happening if you lunatic fucks weren't so anal about DE in the first place
>>544751403All the games are listed in the other thread. There was zero reason for a duplicate to have been made.>lunatic fucksI’m not the one who made another general because I didn’t like what the OP said about an off topic game.
>>544751565/lisg/ threads aren't lasting longer those days, previous one was pruned at just 120 replies for no reason at all
Do you think those schizos in the other thread are just what remains of the older legion folks? Their behaviour seems very rabid
I just miss the old lisg
>>544751292>you lost (again)>have your previous thread die at one hundred post inIf this isn't a phyrric victory, I don't know what else
Remember the last thread LRfag crybabies made?
>>544755008As opposed to the last thread who died in like hundred posts?
>>544755134It had the crybaby/seethe OP. the last one that made it to the end has the real thread’s OP.
>>544755397>real thread>DEfags and Chloe haters desperately trying to hijack the generalThey should be treated as the cancer they actually are
Its sad to see the general in this state, and it cannot be overstated how much damage the franchise has receive due to Square greed and out of touch management, with the only active members here being just low IQ trolls and repost of old fanarts. I really do not see a stable future for the franchise going foward, and I wouldn't be surprised if after DE2 inevitably flops and D9 dies they will consider to sell the IP if the show ends up being a one season deal.I still remember the silly shitposts two years ago and the low activity fluff, now all of that is just gone.
Dispatch is too much capeshit for my taste even if its quite cool, but what I fear the most is how its success will be seen by Square as a way to turn Life is Strange into a low effort copy of it with none of the passion put in
>>544758501If the tv series fails, the IP will have close to zero value left. Nobody in their right mind would buy that. Everything dies at some point.
Nice to see the true spirit of /lisg/ continues. Unfortunate that the other thread is made out of pure spite. Imagine a world without Double Exposure. better yet, imagine a world where the series had been treated with care from all parties.
>>544768401>Unfortunate that the other thread is made out of pure spiteYou meant this one, the one that was made hours later in response to the real thread.
Why did Brooke choose to Dab at the sight of Kate on the roof?

>>544780373It's over.
>>544780373The real Halloween scare is them closing down next yearWhy are they trying to be active again after a year of nothingness?
>>544787336I respect Alex and Steph, but they aren't as iconic as Max and Chloe, and all their media post TC has kinda been a flop. I don't even know for what audience that Izzie noverl is made for, as I can count the people interested in with the fingers of my hand
>>544796098For all I know, the Izzie book could be amazing, but it's an odd choice for sure.>>544795831I think their social media strategy is to minimize the risk of people talking about DE.
>>544797289>I think their social media strategy is to minimize the risk of people talking about DE.This. They know that any Max post will get people talking about how awful they thought DE was, or question where Chloe is. So their strategy is to just avoid Max posting.
>>544796098I wonder if it was a two books deal with the writer. Because objectively, while it's nice to have more representation, Izzie is niche of the niche. At least, it doesn't cost a few million dollars to produce.
>>544797950Did they forgot there are other social media tho? When DE2 comes out it will be a mess again, tucking the head under the sand can only work so much
>>544800758They're not going to post about DE2.
>>544804080If they cancel it, sure.
GAYLOWEEN!
>>544797950>avoid Max postingThe fact that this is the result of a game that they were so confident would be a hit in large part due to the presence of Max is very funny.
>>544828656The official LIS account forgot about Max's own birthday, while Dontnod and even D9 did not kek
