Hello there. I started playing at the end of Kalguur winter, and have been playing pretty religiously since then. I've been farming out of my mind for the past 2 days, and I love everything about the new league. Getting the gear and xp in the campaign is great, the meta progression feels fantastic, and this body/cosmic horror is my kind of vibe. I think going with the hive/gestalt consciousness theming for the league was a great choice, because when I see 40 red dots barreling down on me from all directions, it really feels like you just walked into a swarm nest. It gives me Zerg or Tyranid vibes, and I love it.

It was supposed to be extra campaign and content for PoE 1 but then that changed. When it did they had to work on both games at the same time. Also the hive area that you go into with the 24 waves is clearly PoE 2 assets. This isn't hard to see. PoE 1 is basically on maintenance mode at this point.
I've done 6 maps and got 2 of those hive things and failed both. GGG isn't fucking around with those. The mob speed is super mental. man I think I like poe 1's gameplay better than 2's but you just can't make any currency in this game compared to 2. I have 2k hours in POE1 and I don't think I've ever had more than 10 div after like 2 weeks of playing (a lot) while in POE2 I get as much currency as I need till I'm bored. I'm level 94 with 100 completion and I have 100 chaos, 8 vaal orbs and a couple dozen other pieces of currency and that's it.
