And if you don't kill enemies quickly enough with the suppressed SMG they will make noise which will alert the others. You can use the suppressed weapons on Truth and Reconciliation. You're given a choice of different loadouts before you start the mission.

I think the most offensive thing done to the halo lore was the chief/Cortana relationship. In 1, they are thrust together because the ship was going down. She was a ship AI and chief’s suite was the safest lifeboat until she could be given back to the proper military command on Earth. They aren’t friends at the start and she treats him like a tool. They are friends by the end of the game. Particularly after Keyes dies. In Halo 2 a similar situation. Her job is managing the space stations and jumps into chief’s head to disarm a bomb. She tags along because the space battle is over and she could help clean up everything on the surface. They are not destined to be together. He wasn’t chosen. They aren’t lovers. It was happenstance and they are friends.

Clarity is something I never considered since I'm used to the mechanics and picking out the silhouettes of various enemies, but for a complete newcomer every second counts for survival and target identification while getting the hang of the controls. Reminds me a bit of people turning down settings in multiplayer modes just to see people better.

It's also great against unshielded Brutes, I don't even use the secondary fire unless its in multiplayer against human players/vehicles. There should be at least one lock-on weapon in a Halo game besides just the needler, and preferably an explosive. It just makes for cool sandbox interaction. But yeah, covenant plasma grenade launcher sounds fun. Reload every shot like the human grenade launcher, it sticks to surfaces or just behaves like a normal plasma grenade. Or give it the grenade launcher function where when you shoot it and hold the trigger, its just one plasma grenade with bonus damage or emp, and then when you let the trigger go while it's still in mid-air, it scatters into 4 grenades. And then remove the lock-on feature. And then that still gives the hydra a spot in the sandbox.
