General advice for dataworld segments; your jumps reset as soon as you touch a block, you don't have to land on one. You can slide along the sides of blocks to gain more distance and keep momentum. And get the triple jump as the first dataworld upgrade. I'd probably recommend saving for the GPU radar as probably the first upgrade you get after alyx-grab.

I'm making a system to play card games in VR that I think significantly improves on the state of the art. It's not quite done yet but I've got some webums and a wall of plebbitspaced text about it.Essentially, you interact with stuff through your "cursor" which is the little green ball. It stays close to your fingertip (i.e. offset from controller), but if you get close to the playmat, it snaps to the surface, rather than disappearing underneath or floating slightly above. You can grab cards from the deck by putting the cursor in them in pressing trigger. When you pull the card away from the deck, it automatically tilts towards you a bit, and when it's mostly facing you, it spins upright: two things that you do IRL when picking up individual cards with your fingers. With those small spins emulated, it means you don't have to awkwardly rotate your wrist (controller) all the way around just to read a card you just drew, which feels significantly better from e.g. regular VRC pickups.When holding the cards, they also snap and stay nice and flat on the table, but can still be reordered and tilted, or with a quick tap of the trigger, tapped 90deg. This isn't physics-based, so you can't accidentally drop cards or anything (they stay floating otherwise), but still makes a nice clean playing field, with still having bit of soul of everything being slightly crooked.While all of this is happening, there's also a larger preview of the hovered deck or card at head height, and also a display of how cards are in a deck; it's a bit broken in some states, but generally lets you see what the card is without squinting as much.

It's a little bit weird at first and doesn't quite have an irl analogue (it's kind of hard to pick up one individual card from a play while holding others). But it help if you accidentally like drop your hand into the deck or merge the sideboard in or something, to quickly redraw it.
