they're better the stronger you are and the weaker the boss ur fighting, its a huge time saver for those bosses you 1-2 burst, although boss cd skip is great for that too, full burst + ascent is a lot of dmg to start out with, so either way its very nice to get another big dmg nuke basically, its just quite a bit weaker at low levels though and relative to other hexa its less of a dmg gain priority than you'd think
all I've got is test server kmst math though, surely there's something from live server
one level 30 ascent is equal to 0.65 of an origin, three level 30 ascents is equal to about 2 origins
lv 30 ascent:
10 mins boss: 9% of total damage
20 mins boss: 4.5% of total damage
30-Minute Boss 3% of total damage
you can use this math to see, for a 5 min boss 18% total damage, for a 2.5min boss 36% total damage, for a 1min boss ~75%

7th level accent: 2x stronger than 1st level
Level 10 accents: 2.5x more powerful than level 1
19th level accent: 4x more powerful than 1st level
20 levels accents: 4.16x higher than 1st level and 1.66x stronger than 10th level

Sounds like you get it to 10 if you save up enough before December 17th (easy), then get it to 19 if you're pretty late in 6th job (like, mostly mid-upper 20s and except for the 5th job skills that do dogshit damage), and after that it depends on your class.

i kept track of what i was missing which by the end was just the fireplace newspaper and the four notes that you toss in the fireplace, so i ignored the upper left side and piano and made a beeline passing through the anomaly locations i needed
it didn't matter if i got sent back to the 9th floor, even though it took some time to walk to the right again, 80% of the time it just sent me to the next floor and i wasn't punished
so yeah just brute force but also not checking everything
the last one took like 4 hours and the 2nd to last took like an hour for me

They are like origin, weak at lvl 1, basically just an iframe, but powerful at level 30.

Which alot of retards dont seem to understand or comprehend, no your ctene mules arn't going to be suddenly one shotting ctene bosses with a lvl 1 ascent, just like your ctene mules dont currently 1 shot with origin.

the fun part about the game is that you can do whatever and what will be most optimal will depend on how you plan to spend you are time. logging in for 15 to punch lomien do a check in and erda daily and then logging out or yapping in chat is not just valid but also a process that can optimized further to be even more worthwhile. the fact small explosive device is that just like no cares about 300, no one also cares about what you clear as long as you stay in your lane and have a good time. game is about the goals you choose for yourself

Victoria Island was great for exploring, it's a shame every area after was dramatically more linear (the only thing that changed with the introduction of Arcane River was maps that were really good for grinding rotations). It's a shame the new MSC area looks like Dungeon 2, which isn't bad but when every other area in the game has the same progression it's unfortunate. Quests were kinda always ass though, this isn't OSRS where even in Classic they had some good quests and it's only gotten better. Maplestory was all "turn in shit you got while grinding forever" or "you're going to kill 999 of these mobs anyway might as well take this quest for marginal EXP".
