>>545463641If you can run 13B tier model (however if you can run 20B? that's peak, anything beyond is meant for cloud hosting not local use either way) locally that's probably all you going to need for solid quality RPing if you set up lorebooks (wikis), a narrator bot (for generating the story flow in that world) and pull up cards you cross around the way for group RPs to get really funny results going. Oobabooga can run your shit and SDNext can operate your graphics output probably on the same machine though they can't do it within the same gen as generating graphics generally eats up more resources than textgen. Basically you can run everything locally.

Gemini 3 is definitely up on Vertex because I'm getting weird issues with that model selection that I'm not getting on Gemini 2.5. Had to run the outputted script through Claude to fix formatting because it was generating multiple dialogue scripts at a time with a separator instead of just one for some reason, which is not an issue I can seem to replicate at all with Gemini 2.5 despite it being consistent when I set the model to Gemini 3. (Also to fix issues with the expressions, but that's a commonality across both models.)Still, I like it better even with the mild woes. Here's hoping for no icepick to the brain, I might just start using separate dialogue models and separate expression labeler models (like I probably should've been already...)
