If they're adding new missions, guns, and spartan abilities, I wouldn't mind if they also added new enemies. It's a remake anyway and they're already adding sprint so it might as well be SPV4. It's no longer true to the original, so might as well throw in some new types of gameplay while we're at it. Brutes would be fine, too. Just don't go to crazy, Make these new enemies rare, so it's actually novel when you run into them.

Bungie was an extremely ambitious dev that really struggled with tying down their ideas into something finite and concrete. Microsoft was on the other end of twh spectrum and refused to allow for launch delays because they saw Halo as the lifeblood of their entryway into the market (they weren't necessarily wrong, but I doubt Halo 2 would have seriously suffered from being a spring release)

The decision to go with Activision for Destiny was due to Activision's experience with both massively online infrastructure projects and the console market. Basically, they were a company that knew how to manage the Battle.net WoW servers while also being familiar with supporting console FPS titles like CoD.
The warming up to Sony was more on Sony's part getting super close and cuddly with Bungie. Sony's attempt to aquire them was a decade in the making.

Combat Evolved’s campaign weapon sandbox is completely destroyed when you introduce the shotgun. It’s too fun and too good. you never want it out of your inventory after picking it up for the first time in 343 Guilty Spark. Halo is at its best when you are constantly throwing away weapons for whatever is on the ground.

Can't wait! I hope we can play as the Flood or Forerunners and fight one of the other factions besides the Banished. Would be cool to fight the UNSC or the Covenant this time as the main enemy faction for this map. Some new enemy types (Covenant Engineer), and vehicles (Floodified Mantis) would be nice, too.

Imagine playing as a Flood Spartan and being able to use a special grenade that explodes into a lingering flood infection forms and leaves a lingering cloud that does minor damage to enemies, or a Promethean Knight that can summon a Promethean Watcher that can heal you and return fire to the enemy.

It's definitely soul overload. Everything is either too dark, too bright, too muddy, too neon...it's just a visual clash of clutter. The entire sniping section before you board the Truth and Reconciliation is almost unplayable, it's so hard to see even with the nightvision or flashlight. But the fact that they did go and recreate all the textures and models and stuff is admirable. And I'll let it slide because the gameplay just keeps surprising me with how much content it offers.

Halo 5 also gave us the Halo 5 Binary Rifle. Possibly the best alternative to the sniper rifle. Unlike the Focus Rifle, it actually does feel like a sniper weapon, and its different in functionality to not just be a knockoff sniper rifle like the beam rifle.

I only tried Halo 5 Forge on the Windows Store, but what little I did play was fun. It still has Halo 4's ugly art style and graphics, but the amount of weapons available make it so fun, especially for Fiesta. The guns feel very satisfying to shoot. I remember the Binary Rifle in particular being perhaps the most satisfying weapon to use in the entire franchise. It feels so great. Makes me feel like reinstalling it to see what its like again. Wonder how the player base is doing, there's no bot mode or anything like Infinite and no matchmaking so you can only play customs. It's a massive download too from what I remember.

Also, every weapon has several variants, unlike Halo Infinite, which only has like one other variant (aside from like the sword and hammer I think) per weapon. Then you have a bunch of returning weapons like Halo 2 BR or the Halo CE magnum which operate differently with different stats from the normal Halo 5 versions. And you have big Forge canvases too, so there's a ton of variation in the customs in terms of the sandbox, the maps, and you include the spartan abilities and different Forge options. The customs are really fun. And I want to try the Warzone mode, which is like Big Team Battle, but with different enemy AI and bosses around the map, so it's like a big 3-way battle and you can call in weapons and vehicles and stuff.

>It's actually the opposite in regards to balancing. The MP suffered due to last minute changes they made for SP. Basically, they had to very much near the end of development tone down the amount of enemies on screen in H2, and then had to very quickly rebalance the weapons and ai to compensate, which is part of the reason the game is a total mess.

>The BSPs are roughly the same size as CE in many instances (Like Coagulation) but your sense of scale is altered by the more narrow FOV and the lower reticule. There certainly are areas where the scale is smaller due to poor decision making on their part early on. Halo 5 had a much more robust community than Infinite. It was still a fraction of what the older games had, but it was enough to foster a sizable enough custom community which is always good to have for a Halo game.

Bungie developed Halo for two consoles: Xbox (CE/2) and XBox 360 (3/Reach), and they used the full capacity of the hardware.

-More battles happening around New Mombasa. The entire Halo 2 E3 demo section is restored and part of the campaign without bugs and fully complete.
-Cortana's ass is slightly bigger and you can admire her from the back if you want and not just the front like in the original when you plug her into a console on High Charity.
-Warthog Run from Halo 2 Uncut is restored and fully fleshed out.
-Tartarus battle is simplified because it sucked even in the original game. Boss Battles are not Halo.
