Guys Sakurai isn't gonna go through the whole rigamarole again of trying to get EVERYONE in. It was a massive headache and really stressful on him to make sure all the rights were in order to be used. Autismal rant: as a city trial game it’s great, but as a racing game it’s not, and as a Kirby game it’s a disappointment.I don’t have fun playing air ride mode; the rider/machine combos are hilariously unbalanced and the courses don’t feel like smooth driving. Boosting around large corners (that you can’t make by just steering) sucks and only those with the best handling can make the hairpin turns without hitting a wall. I can’t understand why Sakurai thought boosting could be more fun than drifting in Mario Kart, where even the worst handling combos can make the corners satisfyingly. Boosting is better than drifting though for arenas, which is why I think city trial’s a lot more fun than MK battle mode.The other thing is that character favoritism aside, this feels more like Sakurai Air Riders than Kirby Air Riders. The series’ visual direction is really unique and memorable as of late, but everything just looks like smash bros or kid icarus. He’s telling me that this is planet Pop Star, but the characters are the only recognizable part of it.I hope HAL makes a sequel with their usual flair someday to quell my autism for good.

Retcon Bandana dee has next to no story relevance nor boss fights since rtdl that isn't already completed by meta knight or dedede. I kind of dislike how long Road Trip is. I wanted it to be more of a classic mode that was fun to clear with every character but doing Road Trip with every character will take ages. It feels like your stats are meaningless too because the enemy seems to scale up with you meaning you always feel the same.
