Christ, these fuckers are everywhere. I don't think I've ever seen someone's furry oc get modded into so many games before. Them, and protogens.I wonder if he could've ever foresaw the beast he would unleash when he dumped that initial mod onto the Starbound forums.

Ah, Earth Dancer! Your dance has brought me joy and happiness. In gratitude, allow me to bestow upon you this recipe.
My terraria hardcore run is going extremely well. I got a deadly undertaker on my first heart and I found a dart trap right away when I went underground, which means I can see wires now. I just need to not fuck up until I get the grand design and to find a way to bypass fall damage and the run will be set. It's incredibly hard to die with a tank build, which is what I'm aiming for.
>>547540543>I don't think I've ever seen someone's furry oc get modded into so many games before.Nah, you've been out of the loop, wasn't the first, wasn't the last...

>>547558984About 30 AU, or 250 light minutes. It's pretty far.>>547564127>we look like a faint starYou mean the Earth? Wouldn't be visible at all without a telescope. >>54756664930? It's not as close as all these models of the solar system suggest.
>>547566680Yeah, they're almost never drawn to scale. Mars is 1.5 AU, and then Jupiter is 5, so you'd have to bunch all the inner planets together and then leave vast empty space between the outer planets.

That's weird. I remember him saying something like "that's true, the world cannot contain all the gems and all the crystals needed" or something.

>>547567384>>547566680>>547558984Yeah it's kinda crazy. Like we've all seen pictures like this and understand that these aren't to scale. But I think they still massively undercut how fucking huge space is.I think what made me realize the the huge distances involved is a video by some guys building a solar system to scale with the earth represented by a marble. And they had to go out into the desert and drive around in cars, because the outer planets were 3-5km out from the sun.Hell crossing the solar system at light speed would still take you several hours. I don't think these are scales are minds are meant to grasp
>>547569060>some guys building a solar system to scale with the earth represented by a marble. >>547569554I mean, movies like Star Wars make you feel like space is small and easy to fill. Then you have Gravity, who was properly horrifying because it gives you a little glint of how easy it is to lose track of something when you have no landmark.Realizing that, yes, Cars was likely to float in space forever, being too small to be seen with the naked eye... Poor fucker.
>>547569152>Space is too damn big"the difference between a million dollars and a billion dollars is about one billion dollars"
I'm so sick and tired of procedural generation in open world survival games. Some part of my monkey brain just sees the game world as less "valuable" if it's not handcrafted and it's hard for me to really care for it actually I can't quite put my finger down on what causes this feeling, because in some games like Vintage Story or Factorio I don't really mind, while some handcrafted maps like Satisfactory give me the same feeling. Maybe it relates to whether or not the map exists as a vehicle to basebuilding and creative expression or is meant to be actually exploredFuck I wish Enshrouded was less bad.
>>547569762>"the difference between a million dollars and a billion dollars is about one billion dollars"I'm going to have to read this one a few times to get it.>>547569881Honestly, this. I wish I could just use a default seed. Nowaday I just put 1 in the seed out of laziness.
>>547569736>Realizing that, yes, Cars was likely to float in space forever, being too small to be seen with the naked eye... Poor fucker. If it makes you feel any better, for some reason it always broke my suspension of disbelief that a volcano could accelerate you to escape velocity through the atmosphere
>>5475699291,000,000,000 − 1,000,000 = 999,000,000 ≈ 1,000,000,000
>>547570018For me, not really. I know some volcanos eruption can be really, really nasty. What was the one that annihilated the island it was on? Krakatoa?>>547570073Oh.I'm stealing that one!
>>547570018not on earth, nounless you find a volcano capable of launching you upwards at mach 10+much easier on moons though, i can see a an eruption being strong enough to get you into orbit of Io
>>547569881It IS less valueble than a handcrafted world.Literally mass produced oatmeal vs handmade artisanal rice cakes
>>547570105>>547570257Yeah I think the fact that it has to accelerate you through the atmosphere was what made me feel like there's no way this would be remotely possible. Isn't the solar system escape velocity from earth something like 40 km/s? I never did actually check but I imagine air resistance would shave of quite a lot of that
gotta ask, thoughwhy give me a bazooka and make a lot of ads about it to not let me use it against bosses?
Huh. Is this a sign of a lucky run or unlucky run?

>>547574331>>547577528cute megumeme
>>547570257>mach 10+Orbital velocity is more like mach 25... but more importantly, even if a volcano launched you hard enough you'd just end up in a lopsided suborbital trajectory with apogee somewhere fuckoff far away and the perigee firmly inside Earth, ie. you'd just fall back. It's crazy how well Newton intuited the principles of orbital mechanics and explained them with his cannonball thought experiment 300 years ago, yet laymen in our current space age still don't get it.
You can murder the cat to break a silver Bloodshed card
i got three games. i hope i like them.
I miss my teenage years. Spending hundreds of hours in an open world game was a lot of fun. But now with a huge backlog and a live full of responsibilities it just feels like a waste of time somehow.I guess it's also harder to stick with a game when you have the means to just get another one as soon as you feel a little bored
>>547570518>I think the fact that it has to accelerate you through the atmosphere was what made me feel like there's no way this would be remotely possibleOh, but we've done that! Accidentally. In 1957 just before the start of the space race, we accelerated a man-made object (basically a huge one-ton manhole cover) with a single blast, through the atmosphere, to *six* times escape velocity. Well, to be honest the lid was never found--it either escaped Earth or got vaporized by the atmosphere.Basically we put a nuke in a borehole and then put a cork on the hole, expecting it to contain the blast. It was the Pascal-B nuclear test from Operation Plumbbob if you want to read more about it.
>>547582831Soviet scientists theorycrafted a relativistic cannon using the same principle. The main difference was filling the borehole with water.
>>547583859>humanity designs a relativistic superweapon>it boils water (but really fast)
>>547570257Why would it matter if it was a moon or not. There is no mass distinction between a moon and a planet. A moon could easily have a higher gravity than a planet. Hell if you are retarded and consider Pluto a planet, or are just diffrent and consider all rounded bodies orbiting a star a planet, then it happens here in the Solar System, moons with more mass than Earth.>>547570018>it always broke my suspension of disbelief that a volcano could accelerate you to escape velocity through the atmosphereWhy does it break your immersion that the ancient magical artifact capable of granting god-like power, being used by a god like being it created, could make a volcano go beyond what a volcano would be naturally capable of.

>>547581214Why does GOG insist on these stupid shortcut icons?
>>547589914How old games used to install, if you have a manager like GoG galaxy or minigalaxy you can prevent them from downloading... Actually... Now that I think about it... I think you can just uncheck the box when you are installing the game.
>>547590026You zoomerite retard. GOG replaces the games' original icons with their uglified versions. You can fix it yourself, but it's annoying.
>>547589914You mean how GOG has circular versions of games' icons? You know you can just change the shortcut icon, right?GOG doesn't replace the original icons in the executable, it adds an external .ico file with the gog style icon.
>>547581214songs of silence has really good worldbuilding and art. game plays like the combat system in endless legend. i like taking turns.
>>547590026It's fine I know how to get rid of them. I just don't understand why they are there in the first place.
This kind of shit definitely confuses me.I understand that some people might want to take a shortcut and watch a guide for some strategy or management game, maybe an RPG with complex machanics, but KCD?I guess the combat is a bit obtuse and it can help to have it explained to you a little more, but beyond that? The rest of the game is just traveling around and experiencing the game world, how do you even make a 1:30h guide out of that?
>>547590371>uglifiedlol are circles really that offensive to you? Many games have circular icons to begin with, do those also trigger you?
>>547590567i'm so bad at the gamewhy can't i stop killing my general
>>547590768>lol are circles really that offensive to you?In some instances, instead of using the developer supplied icon, GOG has simply taken a screenshot of the game and used that as an icon.
>>547591672Really?Never seen that. I had assumed that the gog .ico files for Windows games were automatically generated by grabbing the default icon asset from the PE file and adding the circular overlay.Pretty cool if they curate the icons by hand. I thought they didn't care that much.
>>547592171I haven't seen any GOG game use the actual exe icon. Here's one I still had at hand.
>>547592658>basedjak game
Unreadable mess.
>>547592658Yeah I'm gonna go ahead and say the gog icon is way better in this case. The dev probably didn't care much about the icon, the in-game pixel art is much better and so is that piece of promo art the GOG icon uses.>>547593269This one is shit though, wtf gog?PS. You should use something like resourcehacker or windows change icon dialog to browse icons contained in executable files. There can be more than one ico, and also other types of resources.
>>547590371Uh oh meltie alert... Don't tell me you don't know how to make your own shortcuts? It's very simple to do.

First Impressions of Timesplitters Rewind-Gunplay is a little floaty, partly because it uses a semi-dynamic crosshair instead of static, but is much more constrained (instant turning instead of edge-turning, smoother autocenter, tight limits) than in TS2. Just takes a match or two to acclimate. Has mild togglable aim assist-Animations are kinda springy. Needs to be toned down a notch-Music is NOT ported from the games, it's instead original stuff that either incorporates pieces of the original tracks or just sounds like em. This makes total sense, they're already on thin ice copyright-wise just making this, but still a mild bummer-Playable characters are a grabbag of the whole series, usually favoring FP designs in case of long-runners. Some even have selection animations, but most don't. Yes, Slutshirt Jo-Beth is in-Zombie characters lose their head when headshot and keep living-Has the entire TS1 story. Never played it so that's neat. Level selection says 2 and FP are coming-51 arcade league, 32 challenges. Challenges are a mix of whole series (including FP's uplink basketball) with some originals-Enemy AI is...exactly what you'd expect from TS really. They don't spam special dodge bullshit like in FP though
>>547660905>-Zombie characters lose their head when headshot and keep livingIf you mean campaign enemies, that happened. It was rare but it happened. If you mean AI enemies during deathmatches, then it's odd.

>>547680394Also as much as I appreciate the expansion on the worldbuilding. I have to say my favorite part about Cultist Simulator was how vast, unknowable and mysterious it all seemed. Book of Hours and this kind of gives me the vibe that there is an established world with rules, entities and events, while CultSim made it all sound vague in a good way.In fact I really like my headcanon of how it's impossible to know how much of the occult stuff is even real and how much of it is just in your character's head, in the vein of The Repairer of Reputations from King in Yellow. And I keep forgetting this game takes place in the Cold War. For some reason I always think it's in the interwar period. Maybe because CultSim feels very 1920s and BoH is kinda timeless on account of being an isolated island.

Playing monsta train 2 after some dude here reminded me it exists. I am still simply to ingelitentle and smat for this game. >>547699264Soulsslop is balanced like trash.I beat every boss in Elden Ring first try outside of two I had to either adjust build slightly for (Mohg, I just DPS'd him so hard he never got to heal) or adjust for jank (fire giant; his back foot in second phase has no hurtbox so you can just hug it and spam R1 until he dies, amazing modern game design)I did this by just holding block, completely negating > 90% of all attacks in the gameA game being complained about being hard is completely meaningless since most people are A: Bad at gamesB: Unironic NPC's incapable of thinking themselvesDarksouls is piss easy if you go magic, pyromancy OR miracles, all of which quickly scale to the point of 1 shotting all basic enemies and killing bosses in actual secondsPeople called it hard because they all read posts saying "the cheese strrat is grass shield on back rolling around using R1 with melee"Ie, slower to kill and less safe than any of the aboveOr just blocking, which negates all but 3 attacks in Darksouls 1,2 of which are DLC and one of which you're supposed to lose toWhich is to say funtionally a shield removes 100% of darksouls challenge instantly

like i own 14 card sloppers and not even one of them are balanced pretty much at alljourney to the west has a character who scales hp off damage and damage off hp so he ends up outstatting the bosses more and more as the run goes on, neoverse has the "do double damage if you do x gimmick" and lifesteal trivializing everything, chrono ark has the mary sue white haired girl dabbing on the narrative and gameplay with her overtuned kit, eranorth lets you start out with a card that just permanently scales damage every time you use it despite being a game with no time limit so that one card can beat the entire game, vault you just spam defense cards until damage = 0 and win because none of the enemies have any way to pressure you, card quest is hard until metaprogression gives you actual tools then falls over, roguelords is a fucking mess, beneath oresa you also just spam defense and win, relapse has busted metaprogression, gordian quest has busted classesi think breach wanderers is the only other one in this entire "genre" ive played that even felt designed by a single remotely competent person and its ruined by being an absolute insane grindfest thanks to being a mobile portare there any actually good sts clones? i doubt it

Cross Blitz just left Early Access and is 1.0 now. One of the best deckbuilders out there imo, it has a roguelike mode but what makes it stand out personally is that it has 5 campaigns to build your own decks as you progress too. It's essentially Hearthstone's mana system but with Inscryptions 4x4 grid of autoattacking units when you end turn. It rips off a lot of good mechanics from other games but has a shit load of original ones too. Unironically i have almost 600 hours playtime over the last 2 years, one of the only indies I found more replayable than Slay The Spire.
>>547712712>>547718707Why would you do that to yourselves for the sake of an unintended gimmick mechanic? Are the trick kills really worth it?Maybe this will help you.Did you know you can get all the gold you'll ever need as soon as you can dig through extremely dense rock?
>>547701569do you have an opinion on balatro?
>>547701569 see >>547719928 basicallyThere's a shitload of different decks you can build and you can make pretty much anything extremely powerful with the right game knowledge, but the enemy bosses (if you're in hard mode at least) are built to be decent tests of your deck. Balance is pretty tight in that all the deck types can be broken but they all still have their limits and fights that you can get countered by if you're not prepping. You start with an aggro pirate deck that's easily top tier just by stacking attack buffs on a 3 mana 2/1 that can attack twice and attacks the turn it's summoned, but then there are bosses that spam little minions that will block this card and even a boss that just has thorns on the hero so the minion dies when it touches them instantly. The more complex decks tend to have cards like pic rel where they are obvious synergy hooks, you want to put +attack on this card so it can eat more than 0 attack enemies, but it takes setup and feels earned when you actually pull it off to win a run.

What happens? You reload a save and you're back to the world and player state you were in before the encounter. What happens when you die in soulsslop? You drop all the XP you've accumulated so far. You're thrown to the start of a level section with all the enemies respawned between you and all that XP you've accumulated. So now to get to that XP you go through dozens of enemies that AGAIN drop shitloads of xp on top of the grave XP you pick pack up. This is the standard gameplay premise of the grave system. You get rewarded with a major power boost every time you die. How the fuck do you balance a game around this? You don't.

Spicy Stick is just a meme mod that adds a 10% chance of having a massive flame twister appear on the burning prisoner pole(supposed to emulate finding an actual witch/narko-spawn for the more HN rp of it). So I'm playing the Pikmin 4 demo and while I know that isn't an indie game I am curious if this is the same with indie games?Modern Nintendo has such a bad habit of jamming in so many fucking cut scenes into the beginning of their games that many people including me find abrasive. It's hand holding on the next level, instead of just establishing the plot, establishing an understanding of the mechanics then just letting you go to have fun.Are there indie games that do this too? I know that there are a handful of games that tell you next to nothing and expect you to figure it out but I'll be honest, the opposite is worse.

I need to stop feeling guilty and start pirating indie games. There's a ton of good games out there but most of them aren't worth the price they're asking for
>>547753686You should stop pirating if I'm going to be honest, because the internet is being sanitized to the point that once they (if they) pass the legislation to make VPNs illegal in the US, the next step they want to take is torrenting. I wouldn't bother pirating, mainly because if your watching a trailer and it doesn't inspire you to buy the game, and if you have any reservations about a game in the current video game market, 90% of the time you'd be correct. Millennial writing, tropes, and subject matter is fucking awful and out of all the indie games released there are a handful that are worth playing anyway.
>>547753686desu most are worth the price they're asking for, people just don't get enough money from working. even a relatively expensive indie game ($20 or so) is dirt cheap relative to the entertainment time even if it's a meh game. A movie ticket in my area is $15 and most movies are shit too while lasting like 2 hours and you own nothing after. >>547802707Why would I switch to something completely arbitrary that's useful to no one?

>>547804169I actually thought the same. Then a quest said you need elemental weapons for storm creatures, tried shooting them with electric MP7, still nothing so I knew it was just a weird design decision. Then there's the fact that you need to kill them with the flame double barrell which is the shittiest weapon to use against them considering the terrible weapon spread and the fact that all storm creatures can rape you in close quarters faster than you can blink.
>>547802707Textbook definitions are fine. Issue is self-publishing doesn't necessarily mean independence, as is the case with public companies like rockstar they still have investors and shareholders. So even though they self-publish they are not an independent studio.
>>547802707>>547805094Just bumping in to say that CD Projekt Red's parent company is also publicly traded. You could argue Witches 1 was indie (CPR corporate overlords reassembled into their current configuration in 2007 around W1 release) but it's hard to do the same with CP2077 or other modern CPR releases.
>>547806791Really the idea of "indie" being an ambiguous labels is so utterly retarded it's unbelievable people actually say this shit in good faith. Gaming companies are a business. You want to know what "indie dev" is look up what an independent business is. It's that fucking simple.
>>547806910Sometimes that definition is a line drawn on water.Do you, personally, think Witcher 1 is indie or not?For the most part it was developed by a large indie studio which was emerging into an AA game company, then released after corporate restructuring necessary to facilitate their business growth and subsequently owned by a megacorp of the polish cyberpunk dystopia flavor.
>>547807779Was the company that made the game independent when the game was developed? Then it's indie. How is this so difficult for you to comprehend?
>>547807908That changed during development.

It was>released after corporate restructuring The point is things are not so black & white. Games aren't developed instantly nor in a vacuum and arrangements surrounding them change all the time. Some small-time indies like Jeff Vogel might stay indie all the way to retirement but that's the exception rather than the norm.
>>547809514>The point is things are not so black & whiteThey literally are. There is absolutely 0 ambiguity to whether a company is indie or not. A game made by an independent company is an indie game. A game made by one that isn't is not an indie game. A game that is made by a company that stopped being independent during development is an edge case and using that to argue the point that "you can't really define indie" is utterly asinine.
>>547810657>Rockstar is indie
>>547811241Look up what an "independent business" is. Google it, duckduckgo it, yandex it, ask grok, mistral, kimi, I really don't give a shit. Stop bothering me with your utter retardation you goddamn window licker.
>>547758431Ya, but also, the Hotel is like the first mystery you'll come across. Ya you get told all about it in a few hours if you bee-line, but still.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3992630/There_Are_No_Ghosts_at_the_Grand_Demo/Just played this. The humor is a bit annoying, but it's a good demo. I wouldn't play a regular kind of PowerWash Simulator game, so I like how it's trying to be creative with keeping the gameplay part of the storytelling. Now that Ambrosia Sky released unfinished, this looks way more promising
>>547747129I discovered the marigold concotion trick after learning to read and playing like 15 hours of me, literally stealing everything I could, picking up every herb to sell and poaching everything with four legs.I'm not ashamed to use my meta knowledge to this time not have to suffer so much for my next bowl of lentil mash. >>547816154I currently don't have a game to switch my brain off. All my current games requires thinking, balancing ratios and calculating things. Or like with KCD, following the plot and doing missions that requires thinking.I think I would love go back to my modded Minecraft run in which I have more than 300 hours but at that point the mindless grind of mining is already over, substituted by Magical Agriculture and automatation. So the only thing left is buildfagging which requires planning and thinking.Maybe read some VN without routes would work? What no-thinking games do you Anons recommend?

I accidentally posted this in a /lit/ thread about Islam, but I played a literal 1 minute game of "Spooky Thanksgiving" which I think there should be more of. >>547819886It is super grindy. So much so I dropped it. Combat is very basic as are the charactersWas fun enough for the price though>>547818349Matchless Kung Fu is pretty fun or was until 1.0 broke it. Not sure if they ever fixed it. Think Kenshi but it doesn't run like total dog shit. Would only rec on sale though. Like Kenshi and similar games, it gets boring fairly fast because the npcs are effectively 99% the same guy with different namesJourney to the West is a Slay the Spire clone that does a lot of interesting things. Its VERY poorly balanced as is the standard for chinese games (this is because its more of a "do cool things" game than a "is this cool thing op or not" design principle; IE Wukong can copy any enemy move in the entire game, no matter how overpowered, permanently), but I had a good amount of fun with it. Its easily the most fun StS clone I've played.Cultivation Story reincarnation is a good afternoon or so of fun before you inevitably break it if you get it like 70% off. Not a strong rec, but fun for a bit. That's about it.Anything else is bad.
>>547851774RoR2 is just boring because regardless of what character you pick you end up stacking the same things anyway until you hit sky meadow by which point you most likely have a god run going and you're melting things by just running around or just standing still like it's an idle game.

How do you guys chose your skills in DE?It seems like I mostly just level whatever I need for a white check I want to retry, but it leaves me with these kinds of distributions, where everything is kinda average. I've read there are passives that require like 14 levels in a skill. Maybe I should pick a handful of skills to pump next time and de-prioritize everything else?
>>547840145good to know, thanks. I did it in sector 7 last time
Anyone here played this game? What are your thoughts on it in the pantheon of roguelite deckbuilders? It's got overwhelmingly positive reviews and a lot of the reviews say it's one of the genre's best.Is it a good game for first-timers in the roguelite deckbuilder genre? I've never played any game in this genre. I heard Slay the Spire is the best game, but I've never liked its artstyle. I prefer this game's more anime-esque artstyle. If it's really that good, I would love to play it, provided of course that it's good for complete novices.
>>547852782>Factorio to making lines instead of cramping stuff in as small a place possibleI'm more of embrace the chaos guy, myself
I don't suppose anyone here plays The Guild? I installed it on GoG and I think I got the Legacy mod running, but is it recommended to get the alpha version of the mod, or is the stable one working?
>Games getting new content>Grindy or DLC>No videos on them anywhere at all because they're too obscure, not sure if worth effort/cashsuck

>>547856286>Maybe I should pick a handful of skills to pump next time and de-prioritize everything else?I'd do this; the intention behind the skill system is to RP Harry as a particular kind of dude, so going all in on a couple of categories is more or less the "correct" way to play. That said, if you're the sort of person who really dislikes missing content, you can min-max your XP to get all your skills extremely high without too much difficulty.

You get it by talking to the guy and his kid in front of the Feld building once the flood gate is fixed. And obviously having those stats as high as possible gives you the most triggers. On my first playthrough I got the art-cop thing, though quite late into the game and I was still astounded at the frankly unreasonable amount of levels it gave me.
>>547865251>Hogwashed lethargy for 9€Fuck that is tempting.I'm just worried I'll drop it immediately. While I was into Harry Potter as a teen, I don't much care for it now. I guess the magical school aesthetic is still appealing to me, but beyond that?
>>547905903I removed it from my wishlist because of something I read in the user reviews, something about Warner Brothers and DRM or harvesting your data or something, I forget the exact specifics.
Starting to think half the Disco Elysium achievements are buggedThis is what I've got the "Say you're the law 7 times" achievement for. Earlier I got the superstar cop achievement for asking someone what I did in the past and them mentioning me going on about super stardom, that at least made sense kind of
>>547907192The game works by incrementing variable when you select some dialogue. Let's just say that what matters and what doesn't isn't properly conveyed. Due to that, Kim is always fully aware of what you did or said even if he's not around with only a few very specific exceptions. The same thing applies to the achievements. What the description says and what the variable that is checked represents are not the same. At all.
>RAM prices have skyrocketedWelp. I guess I'm gonna keep playing graphically undemanding indie games on my decade old rig then (GTX1060, Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM). Every time I keep stalling on my big upgrade, some big tumultuous event happens that causes specific components to get way more expensive.Thank goodness for AI data centers. >>547907490Yeah that makes sense.I guess I get it though, with a game with this much branching dialogue some errors are bound to creep in.The ones I've found in this playthrough are a few lines referring to questioning Klaasje, even though we arrested her, one line implying that we inspected the body, which I didn't and a line asking kim why he took The Jacket off, even though he never out it on

The damage that Vampire Survivors, Slay the Spire and Cookie Clicker did to indie games can not be understated. That said I dig with the Halls of Torment vibes so I let my addiction get the better of me for a few days till it is out of my system.
>>547915681I never got why people like that one specifically beyond being npcs who saw other people liking that one specificallyDeath Must Die just announced they're trying to turn their survivor clone into a more actiony game out of nowhere which seems to be the direction its going in general (one of the more succesful games last next fest was also that)Survivor clone + very basic actual gameplay + hades levelingThey're also going for the coomer audience apparently since the only sprite they show is the female rogue flourising so hard her skirt flies up to her tits, flashing her complete lack of any underwear
>>547918513My guess is the visuals appeal very hard to Diablo 2 boomers. And yeah generally it seems like indie devs are slowly crawling their way back out of the streamerbait no gameplay hole they dug themself into by slowly adding real gameplay back in.But there is also Cloverfield which is straight up just gambling. No gameplay to be found.
>>547908501They're not really errors. It's more like the copotype and politics systems are very vague and open to interpretation so very normal things adds as much points as saying the most extreme thing. Other than a few exceptions they all add 1 point. Same thing with Kim's trust. It's been a while since I've read the data but iirc the only time esprit the corps gives you useful information about Kim's trust is when you make phone pranks and it goes wrong. His opinion of you go down "but only a little" (the same as any lowering except for the really bad ones like calling him a monkey fucker which lowers his rep by 2 or 3 if you go out of your way to pick the worst possible answers). Refusing to tell Kim about your interaction with Klaasje results in the same -2 rep for being unprofessional. This has a few quirks like for example if you apologize to him after calling him a monkey fucker, you increase his rep by 1 and skip the dialogue that lowers his rep. So the interaction was a net positive.

Less CPU use and the amount of data to be streamed is low by modern vidya standards. There is some overhead involved in loading older data to newer versions since it has to be converted and go through all kinds of sanity checks but that's a one-time thing. And memory use is mostly tied to your session length, how much of the map you've loaded and keeping unsaved in memory. Save to flush shit to disk. However this shouldn't be a big deal if unless you're flying. Ground vehicles are way too slow to cause memory issues outside edge cases like driving nonstop for several IRL hours without saving or maybe playing on an old phone with severely limited memory.Nevertheless I do trim my CDDA worlds, it's useful for a couple of reasons. One, to save disk space. Two, to regenerate new terrain near you. The game generates way too many overmaps around you so migrating to new version terrain is always a loong trip.

>>547954415I'm gaining a new appreciation for the game by trying to not powergame it with my notes again and go off what the game gives you. I forgot how much hints you get just from crafting the intermediate recipe which ALL are indicated by making the apprentice of its aspect, eating honey tells you it's an ingredient for skinshuck mead, 7 shards tells you about Invincible audacity AND winning move's recipe, eating pyrus tells you you can use wood to make them, and there's really at least one item of almost everything found throughout the house which gives you a modest amount of hints what you can craft. If you get lucky you can get a hint to make Iotic essence from the start, which tells you how to make Orpiment, which will clobber 3 book principles for you with some patience for the recipe chain. Some recipe branches still suck though. If the first thing you roll is some shit like the chimeric larva or the periost into year tally from rhyme and remembrance, have fun making use of THAT shit. I thought there'd be ONE shrine where you can slot it + a liquid to make nillycant since they're the only thing that take marks until like the underground workbenches, but No! It's literally worthless. Its ONLY use is to make winter crafts, and the ONLY use for these is... the things it can't help make. Why the fuck don't mark count as devices so you can at least read with them?

I decided to check out Cross Blitz and it's impressing me so far. The story mode cutscenes are a bit overkill so I'm pacing myself on it, but I love a game that actually has campaigns for the cards, this reminds me of a more traditional game Inscyption. I only peeked into the roguelike a little bit but already found some crazy shit you can pull off so once I finish the first story I'll try more of that.
Yeah...I don't think slop is my cup of tea. It's like if Katy t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m went edgelord mode.
>>547998921Ha, you got taken alive by a guard.
>>547967830Honestly, the worst parts of the game are the story bits. Just poaching deer and selling the goods at the tavern on the green is good enough. Or being a wandering snake oil salesman who travels around pivking herbs and brewing god-know-what kind of tinctures to sell at the loucal market of his latest stop, then retiring to the local inn for a skinfull or two of wine and farkle. Its more of an immersive sim than an arpg

>>548018838True. I had anal a few times, I never bled.
>>548023851You're a diety.
>>548024697A what?
>>548001010The story is unironically the hook but it's a bit overwhelming at first because it doesn't let do anything at your own pace until the neuhof case
>>547989249I like it if it's the focus, but I really dislike arbitrary crafting. Like how in Far Cry 3 you need alligator skin for an inventory upgrade and then sharkskin for the next tier of upgrade with no logic to it other than making you hunt various animals. Also in the Stalker Gamma mod, which goes for this whole realism approach, crafting is one of the main way to progress, so your guy can just sit down by the campfire and solder together a military grade NOD and a state of the art anomaly detector from a box of capacitors and some copper wire.
>>548025236>>548001010>it doesn't let do anything at your own pace until the neuhof caseTo be honest this is a major problem with most RPGs, the main quests are written without the side quests in mind. It's always "Go quick, the world is in danger you need to do the next things asap!" and you either need to suspend your disbelief a little to take a break from that or skip the side content. But I agree with anon that the main appeal of the game is being a bit of a life sim, even if I personally tried to err on the side of caution when it came to the law. But being a wandering knight riding from town to town, stopping by to buy provisions and gamble was really appealing to me
>>548026110Pretty much; it's rare for games to feature a moment where you can slow down. I remember playing Tales of Symphonia and getting sucked in the story, and essentially I missed all the side content.
>>548026110Sure, it's what makes you boot up the game for the first time but ask anyone who finished it and they'll tell you that they loved it because Henry is such a great character, the sequel actually doubles down on that, it's full of great and hilarious moments. Both games still have a shit ton of side content regardless, it's just the intros in both that overstay their welcome a bit.
>>548026183Honestly the only counter example I can event think of is New Vegas. When you arrive at the gates of New Vegas you need a certain amount of money to pass, which you most likely don't have at that moment in the game. So unless you pass a skillcheck you either have to do sidequests to earn the money or do sidequests to unlock one of the alternate routes into the city. Good stuff. Now that I think about it, I guess Disco Elysium also has the main quest depend on some time sensitive events every now and then, so you have downtime to do side content while you wait for a certain time of day.>>548026436>it's just the intros in both that overstay their welcome a bit.Definitely agree. It would have been great to have a little freeroam time before going on the hunt for instance (I guess technically you can, but he says to meet him the next morning, so I did) and also I was a little annoyed that after the hunt it goes straight into the Neuhof case, I didn't even have time to stock up on supplies and repair my gear. Doesn't it even do an off-screen timeskip for that?
Welp, looks like I'm semi-stuckAll that's missing in the main quest is going to the island, but I want to do the commie meetup at 22:00 first. However don't have much else to do until then, I'm stuck on all the quests relating to the nightclub because of skillchecks and I don't think I can scrounge up enough XP to give those another try.Guess I'll splurge the rest of my cash on books.

>>548062976I'm a little upset at how insanely fast your clothes get dirty in this game. I dunno if they should have turned the rate at which that happens down or maybe add more intermediary steps because it kinds sucks being caked in dirt for 85% of my playthrough
>>548065725That's a problem with all "life sim" features in games where a full day lasts only a small fraction of real time.>survival game>have to eat constantly>consider game timescale>it's actually only once/dayThe ideal is life-sized games. To have a realistic timescale, you must also have realistic sized game world. No more childhood backwoods adventure scale ultracompressed open world slop confined within a sandbox of only a few square kilometers.
>>548064180You fundamentally don't understand. Listing a singular example of something edgy isn't comparable. Fear & Hunger literally destroys its worldbuilding, writing, atmosphere, etc from being edgy at a level that is simply unrealistic. Like am I experience a grimdark fantasy or is this just a porno game for the author's fucked up fetishes? Literally every character is a gay rapist child sacrificing cannibal. Even the demons in a Slaanesh realm would cringe from how stupid this shit is.

>>548068434Take your time, dudeski.
>>548067830Funny you mention hunger systems, because I have a vague half memory about trying to get three meals per day in in these types of games and it actually being way too much food. But I get that it's always going to be hard to get survival meter tight, you want them to be a challenge and motivator to earn money, set up food production or however else you deal with them, but at the same time they shouldn't become a chore. I know few games that pull it off well to be honest.>you must also have realistic sized game worldYeah, it's always a balance to strike I suppose.I think coming back to the KCD dirt, it would have been enough if washing yourself in a basin did more (at least visually) I find it hard to believe that Henry can't scrub off those thick patches of mud with a bucket of water.>>548068434I mean he is a master sworsman for a reason.

Also fuck gambling. I remember a farkle game I had to do for Sir Capon and had to savescum multiple times.
>>548073716>pick up just one dice and hold it?Been a while since I've read the rules, pretty sure you can hold single 1s and 5s or something, no?>>548073894I like it, just occasionally annoyed at how long it takes, especially with the awkward pauses some of the animations have in between
Henry had the pleasure to win a fight against Sir Capon.I remember that at the start I disliked him, but in the DLC I ended up loving him like a brother. Gotta respect a man that likes sex and alcohol.Anyway don't know if keep up with the hunting trip with Sir Capon, grind in the combat arena with whatever the name of the trainer was(somehting with R I think), to gain more sword experience. Pick herbs now that I have Leg Day perk to increase strength, go exploring to grind Vitality, grind more Marigold Concotions for money and better gear or what.Open world games offers a lot of possibiliy. Maybe I will try to sneak around and do some of the miller's quests, as for them you don't really need stats, just being sneaky like a mouse.>>548074213>pretty sure you can hold single 1s and 5s or something, no?Maybe, didn't really memorized the whole paragraphs of rules. Just thought that you need to make at least a pair and then multiply them to reach 2k points, and if you can't you bust and loose the round. Which is what happened to Nightingale and why I won. I got a perfect 200 for my remaining 1800. The NPC kept just trying until busting.>>548074213>I like it, just occasionally annoyed at how long it takesYeah I can see how it can be annoying.

The issue is that heat rise up every turn and action you take in stealth mode, but going gungho from the get go mean you'll have so much heat by the end of the mission that youll have to lay low for a long while afterward.Ill probably retry with that one mod that remove the rising heat in stealth mode.
>>548091438Voin is pretty neat, nicely detailed maps and novel way to change the difficulty (you basically choose using 3 customizable sliders that respectively control the quantity of enemies, their strenght and the likelihood of elites spawning) and you can get some gnarly weapons, I recall I had an hammer that would augment in damage the greater the distance walked so id smash the mobs then sprint to the elites and clubber them into mush, or vice versa. And it favor exploration as there are many secret chests and the likes hidden all over the maps.

>>548123357Like with diagnosing every other "problem" of stupid dwarves not doing things, the answers are usually:- The job is inaccessible due to a locked door or collapsed bridge building or flood or burrow or some other shit- There are no idle dwarves for the duration you've watched it, because you've flooded their to-do list with other jobs that need to get done first (smoothing/engraving stone surfaces has had absurdly high priority in the past)- None of your dwarves are doing the job because they simply don't have the permission to do the job enabled in their jobs list.- Your remaining living dwarves are too injured or diseased and are all in the hospital- You didn't activate the job on the job site, ie you made the minecart forbidden, so the dwarves can't interact with it- You didn't setup the job correctly, enabling a matching set of features on the hauling list as you should've done on the stockpiletl;drJust read the fucking wiki and follow the step-by-step, same story as with everything else involving modern Dwarf Fortress versions.
>>548133737Only ever played Timesplitters 2 and Future Perfect, how's the first one? You go in, pick something and go back or something?
>>548119778I remember back before this game came out and I've only seen a few screenshots, I assumed you got to hire/invite people to live in the house with you. It does get a little lonely as is, and there are quite a few bedsHow are you keeping track of everything btw, do you use any external notes? I'd love to give this game another try but tabbing out of the game to consult or expand my notes feels like such a hassle
Freelancer had a HD mode:https://www.moddb.com/mods/freelancer-hd-edition
>>548125496I've never played it, but from what I've understand you're supposed to treat it a little like a live die repeat game.It will throw a bunch of bullshit at you and expect you to remember it.If that's something you think is worth your time or not is up to you
a gift to my childhood self
>>548148047I have a theory that people don't stop being children, they just learn to hide it.
>>548148274you are right...
>>548145194For memories, I keep a separate "re-read for memories" section apart from the rest, and write it down in obsidian. I have a second monitor. Some books I know by heart before reading them. For crafting, by this point I've memorized most recipes and a handful of the better skills, and the game keeps track of which skills have known recipes for the playthrough. For this playthrough, it's the first time I installed a mod that makes leveling up easier by using unique memories instead of X of matching aspect. It's cheating but I'm on to a dozen playthroughs and level 6+ skills just get really fucking tedious after a while. But really, it's a lot more comfortable with a second monitor and obsidian. Autocomplete and links makes editing and navigation very smooth, the game has built in copy-paste to make editing quick, and a few color plugin makes it look pretty nice. It's a lot of work to effectively make your own wiki, but I find the two pair very well.
>>548148047What is it? Never heard of it.
>>548148908some kind of puzzle platformer. you jump where your shadow jumps, so you control where the light goes. it has good jazz/blues music which is what really drew me in, but back then i was just a kid with no income and only a potato laptop.https://youtu.be/NOG6gd3O4OI
>>548148893I put the books for memory re-reads in the same place
I love Hitman Freelancer mode, but man. So much about this great game mode is so ass.>reverse difficulty curveIf you're good at the game, and don't die, it rewards you with more tools that help you get through the level easier. It literally gets to a point where thanks to the reward chest you tend to get back exactly what you used that mission. But if you suck, and you die regularly, it takes your tools, and your weapons away, making it even harder to not suck. >the weaponsThe game has a brazillion weapons, and the only reason to ever use anything outside of the same super accurate silenced pistol, sniper rifle tanto combo, is for prestige objectives. Cool that the game gives you 10 different assault rifles, but what are you meant to do with them? Firing an un-silenced weapon in most places is a really fucking bad Idea. I wish there was a game that was like this, with some of the more basic issues fixed.
>>548148893What software is that.
>>548149678FREELANCER?
>>548149841Obsidian
>>548148893>But really, it's a lot more comfortable with a second monitor and obsidian>It's a lot of work to effectively make your own wiki, but I find the two pair very wellYeah, I've tried that and it just didn't quite work for me. Maybe the system I came up with is shit it definitely has some redundancy in the entries or maybe I'm just not proficient enough with obsidian, but as I said it kind of just broke the flow/immersion for me to leave the game all the time, even if it's just to my second monitor.Next time I'm on the mood for the game, maybe I'll just use the labeling system, to have a shelf dedicated to each aspect. Might not work perfectly for memories with multiple aspects but it sounds workable. Also funnily enough I often quit my BoH playthrough attempts because it just makes me want to pick up a book and read so much
>>548149857God I wish.
>>548150385Sorry, I have no idea what Hitman Freelancer is.
>>548150476That's okay anon. Freelancer also happens to be one of my favourite games of all time.Hitman freelancer is a roguelite mode for Hitman: World of Assassination. Where instead of the fixed story mission targets, you get random targets on the map, and instead of having a fully unlocked loadout you can only take what you find / purchase in the level & get as a reward. However: If you die, you lose what you brought.
>>548151002Oh, that. I only tried Hitman 1 and 2, not World of assassination. It's essentially a roguelike mode?
>>548151118Yeah. by Hitman 1, and 2 do you mean the "new" episodic titles? those together with 3 essentially form "World of Assassination". Or are you talking about actual Hitman 1, and Hitman 2: Bloodmoney?
>>548151771I mean that one.I did play these two as well. Hitman 1 was shit, Hitman Contracts was shit, Blood Money was BASED.
>>548149995>maybe I'm just not proficient enough with obsidianNaaah.Obsidian is pretty shit at everything because it tries to be too modular with everything.
>>548151002God, I wish Thief would get the Hitman treatment of a shit remake followed by a spectacular return to form
>>548151923Yeah, so basically back then they did a bit of an "episodic gaming" thing, and split hitman into that game, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3. If you click on "go to store" on this, it'll tell you that it's not even available any more standalone. It's all part of "World of Assassination" now. They're good games, and despite the flaws I'm enjoying the freelancer mode. If you enjoyed the one you are showing in the pic, I would recommend getting the whole thing on sale.>>548152237I think people overreacted a bit with Thief 2014. It certainly wasn't great, but also not as unplayable as people said. All in all it was just kinda.. mid. I see this a lot still, people acting like games that are just kinda mid are "the worst, most unplayable garbage" they've ever seen.
>>548152551I worry of the size, these games are always so big.
>>548149995The granularity probably tired you out. You don't need images or to write which other cards link to it when you can just use folders and the graph view with some requests for the actually relevant stuff (memories, evolving, what skills give which card in which wisdom if you feel like it). My cards are pretty simple, they're just name, aspects and how much description. Skills get attunement and crafting, books get lessons and memories and difficulty, a couple tables catalog sustenance/beverages for convenience, the higher end crafts get which workbenches and skills make them with which aspects for convenience, and the rest is mostly plain cards in folders. Just in your card, the (1) (2) etc lists don't make use of auto completion, the overhead of having to update or check the card each time a new book gives it is guaranteed to give you a headache, the books are all typed in a way where you need to type the parentheses manually, and you don't at all need the skills or memories listed in it when the game tells you.
>>547918513>>547918924A bit late to the thread, but making builds in halls ia a bit more involved than most other games of the genre (a very low bar, but still), each ability has its own different upgrades and different ways you can build them, you can use perks of other heroes by equiping certain marks, there is a lot of flexibility.
>>548152725What software is that? Freemind?
>>548152725I also don't do Lore entries of characters or events at all, I use grep to search for books which mention relevant stuff for the further stories. Salons are only "sorted" by playthrough with their text and guests. I thought about doing a database of which guests interact and what text it gives you but never bothered.
>>548152892It's still obsidian.
>>548153806I thought you meant the developper.
>>548152725>search.jpgUse backlinks - yet another nearly hidden feature.
>>548154130Backlinks aren't nearly as legible and will clutter the result without the ability to filter out entries which aren't part of what you want.
>>548151771>Hitman 2: BloodmoneyYou mean Silent Assassin. Blood Money was the fourth game. First game was Codename 47
>>548154894You are completely right. I'm not quite sure why I had it in my brain that Blood Money was the second. There was Silent Assassin and Contracts before it. Brainfart, I guess.
>>548155130Sidenote: "You are completely right", fuck now you can't even recognize that you've made a mistake and tell the other anon that he correctly spotted it without sounding like fucking chatgpt, because that's exactly what it does every time you tell it it's being retarded.
>>548155535>you can't use common phrases any more! gippity has learned those!I fucking hate these "humans"
>>548149678The assault rifles are for colorado
>>548149678Yup. I couldn't get very far because I am bad at the games and it kicks me in the dick for being bad at the games lol
Icarus update. Previow of Dangerous Horizons DLC with the new map Elysium.https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1149460/view/627817205072922675We are probably getting a new kind of Exotic. And a whole new tier 5, so those bazillion BP points I have will be put in good use.
>>548152551>It certainly wasn't great, but also not as unplayable as people saidI think expectations play a lot into it.When it came out I didn't understand the hate, I just thought it was kinda boring and I never finished it. But after playing the original Thief, I totally get it.This is one of those cases, where just a title change would have been enough to change the reception of a game. Fallout 4 and Bioshock Infinite come to mind aswell
>>548163479God I wish. I'm pretty sure most casuals shooting up colorado will die in colorado.>>548167327Yeah, the difference between having a silenced gun and not having a silenced gun is HUGE. And guess what happens if you die? You lose your silenced gun. You get two dart guns, explosive ducks and a silenced gun the game is fucking EASY mode. Almost a joke. but god help you if you have a dying streak and don't alt + F4. You lose all these amazing tools and congratz: You're just fucked now.
>>548169245Yeah, I also never finished it, mostly because nothing interesting was happening. DMC: Devil May Cry was another example. Not a bad game in any regard really. If someone asked me "Hey, should I bother playing DMC: DMC?" I'd be like "yeah, it's pretty fun".
>>548152725>>548153023>>548148893>Tfw come here just to read peoples lets plays>first time I've been lost on what the fuck I'm readingAre you making your own personal wiki or something?

>>548148274Lmao crushing majority of adults are literally children mentally, they dont even bother to hide it and just act without any sort of self introspection. Like I know some actual children with more levelheadness and maturity than adults with children of their own.
>>548125767police siren audio kept looping forever until I died
Almost all perks have drawbacks that I really don't want. Almost picked Golden Tongue for the extra charisma and speech but a -2 in strength seems a bit too much. Specially in early game.
>>548174076>fast travelI don't think I used that a single time in any of my playthroughs, even forgot it was a feature in the first place.Honestly I just dislike fast travel in general and very rarely use it these days, unless it's something like GTA Taxis or Skyrim Carriages it takes you out of the experience and what's the point of having an open world in the first place if I'm just gonna skip from PoI to PoI once I've discovered them once.
Got dried food, some 400ish Groschens, a weapon I can use and a torch. Time to go to the town where the scribe is to teach Henry how to read. Also does he ever learn how to swim? I don't remember him being able to swim at all.>>548174564It was the only perk that didn't come with a debuff. I should commit to one playstyle but I still don't know which one. And meanwhile I'm not gonna auto travel untill I reach max Vitality.
>>548172542It's not that weird
Shhhh.Sleepy time my fren.
>>548178987I think it's pretty based actually.
>just got the runeblade in VerhoHoly shit this thing WRECKS
>>548172542It's Book of Hours, which is akin to Cultist Simulator in regards to esotericism (they're both made by the same guy). You play as a librarian in the game, and it helps to actually act like one irl so you know what books give what, what skills make what, etc.
>>548151002I love this mode so much because it's both dynamic and fun AND it stopped me from being a SASO autist (unless I take the prestige for it). It's a god damn shame how little they've supported it since launch besides cosmetics though. If I was them I would have been dumping every ounce of effort into this. It revived the damn game.
>>548145540I've been blogging about it ITT kinda critically, and I actually have come to the conclusion that I sorta like it, despite a lot of flaws. It's basically like a 2d survival horror game. If you cleaned up some shit like it being overly heavy on RNG, and toned down the edge by like 20%, you'd have a masterpiece.
>>548184761The biggest surprise to me was when they fixed people saving their run with alt + f4, which caused so many people to be buttmad that they actually put the ability to "cheese" save your run by force quitting back into the game. Kinda based, honestly.
>>548151002These games didn't deserve to be so sloppily handled with nonsensical menus and versions and remakes and pricetags and whatnot because at their core they're super fun.
After some shenanigans I reached the scribe's place. Time for Henry to learn how to read and write.
50 Groschens to learn how to read. I was expecting it to be more expensive. Like 200 coins.
Time for more adventures!
Fucking wimin.
I think this dude is dead.
>>548179996Yeah, its one of the rare times the legendary weapon is worthy of that moniker, personally I liked how the elemental effect change depending on what spell you have at hand at the moment, make it genuinely versatile.
>>548200678Being able to switch without having to recharge the weapon also helped.
Is it true that Hades is a roguelike for people that don't like roguelike? I prefer linear games, don't like repeating the same thing over and over, will it still b fun
>>548204427It's not a roguelike. Consult the chart. It's still a good game though.>don't like repeating the same thing over and overMight not be for you then.
>>548204678im asking cause i just remembered bastion and transistorpeak gameshades/hades 2 should be that same style of gameplay perfected so wanna finally give em a shot, guess whatever, they're cheap anyway i'll trycontroller or kb+m? hmm
>>548173448>>548174076>>548178164>>548190150>>548189480idk why but I absoultely loved kcd1, but i did not get in the mood to grind out 2 the same way, something about it makes me like it less, not sure what, its still a great game, maybe just wasn't in the headspace for it, i'll continue my run of it soon
>>548205317i think chiefly it was the characters and pacing, something like that, 1 chars were just more interesting, so far at least, im only 20 hours into 2
>>548204787It's similar enough to Bastion. There's more variety than Bastion but you're also meant to replay far more runs.
>>548204678why are you posting this edited version? necrodancer should be bottom left
>>548182151but are you making your own wiki
>>548204427No, its a 2D action game with very slight randomization (emphasis on very, its map gen variety is pathetic)Its a rogueLITE for people who have never and will never play anything else similar to call best in genreIn the same way BoTW is an open world craft slop game with weapon durability for nintendo fans to pretend invented all those thingsAnd Hollow Knight is the only good 2D soulslike despite playing nothing like any souls game according to people who never played anything else>>548204678Chart is gay and wrongThe actual definitions isIs your game like rogue? No? not a roguelike.Hades? Real time, not an RPG, no food clock, bo hp regen, one way traversalNot like roguenot a roguelike
>>548185003>and toned down the edge by like 20%From what I recall it's based on a universe that the creator and his friends came up with in highschool for a Pen an Paper RPG or something along those lines. So it checks out
>>548152725I'm gonna re-read and think about this when I'm back from my weekend trip. Might ask for some clarification or advice then
The edge in fear and hunger is fine as is, it has its fans. That's a very subjective thing to change and not every setting has to be made for you personallyit is however OBJECTIVELY shit to play
>>548211723fear and hunger type a game you watch 20 video essays on instead of playing fr and not just saying this as a zoomer
Man, I sure do love having to kill the moon lord 56 times to get a meowmere to make my Zenith. By the way the drop rate is 22.22% per kill. That's roughly a 1 in 1.3m occurrence. Yay!Actually the moon lord always drop 2 of its 9 possible items so technically the drop rate is 1/9 followed by a 1/8 drop but mathematically, it's still 22.22% because you have 1/9+1/8*8/9 chance to get a specific drop.
Finally decided to get Tavern Keeper.Pretty cozy so far. Obviously still Early Access, so I'm curious to see for how long the content lasts, but with these play forever type games I mind EA less.I thought the character design would bother me more, but it doesn't. Other than that this is the first tavern game I've seen that I actually like the look of mostly by the virtue of it just having a consistent looking style, I thinkI have some pet peeves like Tavern footprint being predetermined by the map you choose, multi story buildings not being a thing and some of the writing being a little cringe, but I can easily live with that compared to how tight the rest of the game feels.
The payoff in F&H is so crazy when you play this shit mostly blind and figure things out yourself. I feel so powerful compared to flailing around with a little girl, wild dog, and a shifty backstabber as my party on my first run. Although I'm probably gonna hit a brick wall when the Noita tier """puzzles""" show up.
>>548170650>I'm pretty sure most casuals shooting up colorado will die in colorado. If you find a noice place to hunker down, you can easily outshoot the entire garrison. I mean, Colorado realy isn't as bad as most people make it out to be, but killing every NPC on a map with a shotty or assault rifle really isnt that hard either.
