Taranza is too big-brained for me to use in this game. That means they had all these updated hat designs (Hammer, Bomb...) for Kirby GC, then at some point the hat designs were reverted; then during Wii development, the palette swaps were back on the chopping block, they looked to earlier assets and found inspiration for Bomb.This is why I don't think Sakurai was involved in Kirby GC, since it seems he always championed the hat's connection to Poppy Bros. I think I kind of see why Sakurai was reluctant to include her in future games. Seeing just how prominent she is here in DL3 it almost feels like it was just someone putting their OC in the game and pushing kirby to the side to have the OC front and center. Probaly rubbed Sakurai the wrong way. Like look at how she is framed here. If you didn't know anything about Kirby you would think she is the main character here but it's Kirby and he's off to the side like a common side character. If I was Sakurai and someone did that to me I would not want their OC in any of my future games I make.

Alright anons, are there any gimmicks for new Air Ride machines that you predicted over the past year?Did your predictions come to pass?Here were mine:>Ride that controls like a normal vehicle in a racing game, where you hold A to accelerate and have to drift by releasing A; possibly Kirby Mouthful-moding an actual car>Ride that requires you regularly deal damage to maintain extra good speed/acceleration etc, is mediocre when not in that state>Ride that gets a big speed boost every time it TAKES damage, or that gets a higher top speed, acceleration etc the lower it's health gets>Ride that requires you to repeatedly tap the A button with a specific timing/rhythm to go extra fast, would be music themed visually>Ride that goes in whatever direction you turn the stick omnidirectionally, but camera is difficult to manage as a result, maybe the UFO?>Ride that is always gliding at all times, and you need to control it's altitude to not crash into the ground and lose speed other then to hit boost panels; maybe the UFO?>Ride that normally goes slow, but leaves a trail, that slows other players down, except yourself, who speeds up when over that same trail; maybe Adeline's gimmick?>Ride whose boost is a teleport, allowing you to bypass walls that make up corners or past certain obstacles, but if you'd de-teleport inside a wall or obstacle, you bonk your ride on that wall/object as if you crashed into it; ride is Black hole themedThe only one of mine that came true was the "deal damage regularly to maintain a powered up state", which is what the Vampire Star ended up being.
