you could probably put him into either toss or quest mage without hurting your winrate if you really wanted to play him. he's a fun card and signatures that discover are always fun to paly with
the guy has only seen sporadic play since release and he's rotating soon though
just grind arena or play non-elise decks to climb ranks until you have enough to craft her or you open her
unless there are elise decks that you want to play right NOW there really isn't a rush

There is literally no reason to play it. It doesn't even have a wincon and deck construction is actively hostile against it. I got to high diamond the last two seasons with it before switching over to literally anything else for legend. Both the no minion package and minions suck dick and 80% of my wins with said deck were generating wheel of death and just beating aggro via drinks. The only semi consistent discover based sweeps I had were running fucking raptor herald and getting whale+Ultragigasaur on turn 7. Half the ladder this time after the first few days was a warrior deck that ran double bling that independently just shat on your quest reward. Hell even Protoss is basically dead, mage sucks.
