The real confusion with IDW is that there are no Sonic games that show what Silver is like when the sky isn't falling. So even if you can pick apart every character trait in IDW an IDW fan will always have the argument that this is an entirely different situation and that Silver has a reason to regress into a more boyish state.

I think Uwufication as a subject is actually worth some serious analysis as it has strong ramifications for character writing. Here is fleetwaynic, the opposite of Uwufication. I think there is room for characters like these, they were considered fresh and new in the beginning of the 2010s, but people started to lose patience for them when they affect existing characters.Fans of these characters will say "What's wrong with having vulnerable male characters?" and in truth there is nothing wrong with that at all. Most men are not men of steel. It is healthy for kids to learn that being approachable and kind are good traits, there is nothing wrong with being a little too earnest or sweet.
