What other skills or techniques could Tails have that emphasizes "Flight" the same way Sonic's emphasize "Speed" or Knuckles' emphasize "Power"? Like, if Sonic Unleashed (Day) is all about "unleashing" Sonic's speed, then would what the equivalent for Tails be? Like, imagine if Tails had a Sonic Unleashed, where half the stages are about Flight and the other half is Mech stages with the Cyclone or something. What would the Day gameplay be like, there? Sonic CD and Unleashed opening cinematics display Sonic's speed in such cool ways that perfectly convey how Sonic move, but what I've always wanted to see is that kind of cinematic display for Tails' flight. But the closest example I can think of is the OVA. But if CD & Unleashed's Openings convey how Sonic should move, thus ustablishing what you should expect from Sonic gameplay, what I am wondering is how should Tails move? My favorite Tails stages in terms of level design are Speed Highway in Adventure and Crisis City in 2006, I think there should be more like them. In the 2D games it's also fun when you start flying. If Tails is "easy mode", then is he just flat-out better than Sonic? If the basis of Tails' abilities is "fly over everything", and that breaks the game by the standards of what Sonic gameplay is, then is Tails just "over-powered" compared to Sonic? The simple idea of Flying is just "Speed, but better"? If so, then how can this be balanced? The problem seems to be that designing levels for Sonic exclusively without accounting for Tails is crazy. So, how should levels properly account for Tails so that flying comes with its own fair share of obstacles, without limiting the flight itself in a way that takes the fun out of it?

I love Shadow so much, bros. I wish I could run my fingers through his fur and feel each quill as I carefully bury my hands in his spines.
