Items that can get your characters around the world are great, especially for new alt characters. Recharging teleport to friend, world boss teleport stone, or Thousand Seas Pavilion lounge are best for this. Extra character slots are technically better value than bank tabs for storage space. Try to focus your funds on account upgrade instead of character upgrades until you're like super sure you're going to stick with a character long term (spoiler: you will switch).

Shadows are a big performance draw so dropping those helps if you don't mind. There are vfx denoiser and npc culler addons but I don't know much about them and how much performance gain you realistically get culling people's mechs/spirits and stuff, mostly that's just for clarity I think.

I'm thinking of coming back to this game. I haven't played since End of Dragons. When I played there were still special rune effects on the 6th rune, and I played a Mace/Axe Condi Herald (Demon/Dragon) that benefited from the healing per torment stack from Runes of Torment, but they got rid of that bonus. It didn't do a ton of damage but it was a fun open world build that was survivable that I enjoyed. Is there anything like that currently that I can play in any spec? I miss the open world experience but I hated that they kept gutting the builds I liked playing

Man gw2 combat is so weird. Ranger is the nature-y class if it's the aesthetic you like, and Necromancer is the one that has a sort of transformation built into it as a class mechanic, but you could just as easily wind up preferring Guardian or Elementalist or Engineer or something.

>>548698182you kind of missed out on the intended story path which made it interestingi did tooorr was originally supposed to be like a 3 map campaign and that was the big meta event in the game was going all the way to the end of the third mapyou'll get to kind of experience it when you do map completion if the orrian maps havent been completed yet. i just had a run the other day where i did full map completion on all 3 maps with an 8 person squad, it's just extremely streamlined now with mounts and power creep
